Okay maybe I'm just blind but I couldn't seem to find the exercise thread for the past two days so I figured I'd start one. If there is one out there please disregard this one.

Well my goal this week was to up my exercise back to the pre-vacation level which means getting back to 2 miles whether it was the 2 mile WATP, two 1 mile WATP or 2 miles on the treadmill.

I forgot that the US Open started this week so since I really want to watch it I have to walk on the treadmill instead of doing WATP since I usually exercise in the evenings. On Mon I walked for a half hour and got in 1.5 miles. I really do not know how I make it for a 15 min mile on WATP since I know I can't keep up that pace on the treadmill. But since the 2 mile WATP tape is 30 mins I figured I must have gotten in a good workout by doing the same amount of time on the treadmill.

Last night was a bust. My DH2B was supposed to have work last night so I planned on the treadmill while watching tennis. However, they scheduled too many people for last night so he came home. I barely had time to get my homework done for classes that start tonight b/w the time I got home from work and when he wanted to go to the mall to get some Lindt chocolate. He'll be out of town today and tomorrow so I really wanted to spend time with him before he left so no exercise for me last night.

My plan for today is to do the 1 mile tape b/w when I get home from work and when I have to leave for classes. It's about an hour and a half window so I should be able to workout, shower and eat dinner before I have to leave. Hopefully I'll still have enough energy to walk another mile when I get home from class.

Monday evening I went rollerblading - I went about 1 1/2 miles. It felt pretty good (I hadn't used my rollerblades since last summer  .) I definitely felt it in my legs the next morning. ;)

Then last night my hubby was at work late - after work I went swimming in the pool with my 2 labs - they keep me swimming around the whole time playing fetch with them. :D Then I came inside & completed the 1 mile WATP for the first time. I was pretty exhausted at bedtime last night. ;)

I took Monday night off because I was so sore from the weekend but I did my 2 mile WATP last night. I could have so easily talked myself out of doing it because the US Open was on but I didn't want to take 2 night offs in a row.

I started right after the 2nd set of the Roddick/Henman match and I was really hopeful that I could complete the 2 mile and then watch the end of the match. As soon as I was done I switched it over to the match and it had just finished. :( Oh well I guess it was better for me to do the 2 mile than to watch someone else play tennis.

ME!!!!! I walked about 3-4 miles on Monday and on Tuesday a walked about 2 miles. Ok so it was just around town and was not WATP but it was still some walking!!!

I did WATP's 3 mile walk on 8/25.

Last night I TRIED to do the FIRM Cardio Sculp. I just got it in the mail yesterday, but I think I need some serious new cordination.
I couldn't get down the moves at all. I really didn't get much of a workout, but I was moving.

Thanks for starting this thread Steph - I thought I was just missing something when I couldn't find it!!!

I exercised both days----Curves w/o on Monday, and thought I would walk outside when I got home last night. Huge storms in the area so I decided to try something different (and inside) - - my sister got a Back Care Yoga for Beginners tape (with Rodney Yee) from a friend, so I decided to try it out - a 1/2 hr workout. It certainly was different!

I don't know what to think about it - what are the main benefits of Yoga?

Tonight will try to do the 3 miler WATP.......

Have a great day!!!

Not just you -- I couldn't find the threads either, so I guess Daisy's busy right now. Hope everything's okay with her. Thanks for taking up the reins, honey!

And did you walk while at the mall? That counts. :) Maybe not as much as WATP, but it still counts! :D

arizona -- that sounds like such fun!!

I got something in both nights. Monday I didn't do too much, but I did walk just under a mile around campus (most of it in the upper 90's outside. Ugh!) then came home and did about 15 minutes of Tai Chi.

Last night, I tried out the 1 mile WATP I borrowed from a friend and really enjoyed it, much more than I expected to. Then since I only had the 1 mile tape and didn't want to do it twice in a row, I went straight into some Tai Chi, figuring that the warmup and exercise done in the WATP was a good enough warmup to go straight to the Tai Chi exercises.

I think you'll get some toning out of it, but slowly. It'll improve balance and flexibility. Loosens up tight muscles by allowing you to stretch. And since one of the focuses of both Yoga and Tai Chi is focused breathing, it'll help you gain more control on your breath and improve your lungs (in theory -- I'm noticing improvement anyway). Also, if you keep to it, yoga does work rather well (for me anyway) as a stress reducer.

Thanks Rajah!!! I appreciate that info!!

I got up early both days and did my 20 minute pilates workout DVD.

Last night I also walked briskly and jogged some as I pushed my 3 yr old DS on his stroller for about 1 mile.

Great job everyone!

Me me me! I walked 40 minutes on Monday morning, worked out at Curves Monday evening, and walked 40 minutes again on Tuesday. It's getting easier to roll out of bed and get moving - 16 days in a row!

Today I walked this morning, and Curves tonight. Work it!

Monday I did the 2 mile WATP workout and then got on my total gym to work my legs and arms...then I attempted to do day one of the FIRM's ab workout...LOL Ok, maybe not! The abs definitely have to strengthen before I can do what they're doing...who ARE these people???

Anyway, Tuesday I did the 3 mile WATP's for the first time. I told myself at the beginning that I wouldn't use the dumbbells (I don't have the weighted balls) or even do arm motions if I didn't feel like I could since I only started the 2 at the end of the week before last. Well, I'm happy to say that I used the dumbells and I didn't modify the routine at ALL for me! I did, however, call out to the gods a number of times and I think I saw a tunnel...and bright light beckoning me...

What I decided was that on Tues. and Thurs. I would not use the total gym to give my muscles a day off, and that will be 3 mile day on WATP.

Karen :smooth:

Hi all - I did the WATP finally. I bought the three tape set last Saturday - but was finally able to carve out a few minutes yesterday to try the 1 mile. It was perfect for me - as I am really out of shape!

I will do the 1 mile every other day, but still want to include my two-mile "real" walk as I love the outdoors!

I excercised on the 25th,i walked 2 miles and then 100 crunches and then 50 leg lifts for each leg. Then yesterday it(TOM)about killed my i had a migraine and very very crampy,i finally left work early and came home,so no exercise yesterday but i will definately be back on track tonight.

On Monday I did WATP express 4mile tape and Ab blaster 200. It was a struggle to do anything, trying to recover from a wedding this week-end, I finally realize I am not as young as I want to be! On Tuesday I did the WATP 3 mile with weights, and in the afternoon I did Power 90 sculpt level 3-4 and a Firm ab tape. Great job to all that exercised! It sometimes is very hard to fit in when we all live such hectic lives.

Me!
I swam 1 mile on Monday, bowled 4 games Tuesday, and swam 1 mile today (Wed)!
I really do feel so much better when I exercise!

I thought I had missed this thread also.

On Monday evening walked 4 miles with a friend.

On Tuesday I was back to the 2 mile WATP.

I have to run to Wally World (Wal-Mart) today and I will look for the 3 mile tape and a Pilates tape.

Thanks for picking up the thread.
