I know I know I must not be a good Diser if I plan on being in WDW on Christmas but this will be our 3rd Christmas at WDW and we wouldn't have it any other way!!

So who else is insane like me?

We will be there Dec 18-26 and right now we are booked at AKV but we are hoping to change at 7 months, we are DVC.

The kids have picked CM for Christmas dinner so I get to have my fingers crossed that I can get it.

So come join the crazy and help each other plan!!!!!

We'll be there!!!!!!
We arrive on the 13th and we are staying at ASM (DD's choice) til the 22nd.
We are booked at AKL (Dec. 22nd - Jan.3rd) right now and are hoping to change it at the 7 month mark as well.

This will be the first time that we will be there for Christmas Day and I really can't wait! I love Disney in Dec. We've been during the week between Christmas & New Years, it's a crazy time and we loved it! I'm super excited about his trip, I can't wait!!

Where are you trying to switch to at 7 months?

Looks like we are the only 2 I am so jealous that you will be there so long. I get a little over a week from DH thats all he is willing to be away from work for. DH said one year he would like to do New Years but point wise with DVC its insane.

The kids love being at WDW on Christmas day. We don't do big presents for the kids anymore. Each year we just give them a stocking filled with little things and then we book a special thing for them to do. Last year they did the Pirate Adventure cruise and the year before it was BBB. This year I am hoping for the fireworks cruise.

Enjoy your planning!

We are hoping for BC or BW.

The last few weeks of Dec. & the first week of Jan. is a slow time for DH so instead of being at home and walking around grumpy, he suggested we walk around and be happy at Disney...lol We weren't going to stay for new years because of the points but we wanted to stay for our anniversary so he was like whats a couple more days at this point. It's a rare thing for him to say that because he is a workaholic so I jumped on it right away and booked!

We were planning on only doing stockings for gifts and spending money on other things like MVMCP , signature dining etc. We were also thinking about ordering a tree from the Disney florist, I 'm not too sure though. Do you get a tree? If not how are the kids with that?

Well when we first went I wasn't planning on doing a tree but I found a little fiber optic Disney tree at the gift shop at the Pop and we bought it. So now we bring that down with us every year and the kids set it up and they are totally fine. The first year my kids were sad we didn't have a tree set up at home so I bought a small table top one and it made them happy.

I honestly thought it would be a one year thing since my kids were so used to HUGE Christmases. I used to go totally insane with gift buying. But they surprised me and love going to WDW.

One of these years we will to New Years but that will mean I will have to give up my March trip with just DH and I and I am not ready for that one yet LOL.

We will be there too. The 18 - 28 at POFQ. This will be our 4th trip during this time frame! The best time to go! Just reserved the MVMCP this morning for the 19th. Now all we have to do is figure out dining ressies so we are ready to make them come June 20th!!

Be there too for our first visit. Dec23 to Jan 3rd in POLY and 3rd to 7th in AKL. Can't wait, kids know nothing about it and don't plan to tell them until after we arrive ;) What's all this about the 'changing in 7 months'?
Becky and Vicki would LOVE any advice you can give us, especially recommendations for dinner on Christmas Day and NYE :worship:

i've been thinking about going back this year at christmas from Dec. 23-29, if i can just find a low airfare, it seems like airfare triples around that time of year

THe changing at 7 months is for DVC you can only book a non home resort 7 months from your check in date. We own at AKL but we are wanting to switch to BLT.

My main advice is get up early and get to the parks early. Be prepared for crowds but nothing is undoable. I was scared to death thinking we wouldn't see or do anything our first trip and we did any and everything we wanted. We loved every single second of it and love going back year after year.

As far as Christmas dinner we have done WCC and we did Ohana. This year the kids have picked CM and I am planning on trying for the fireworks cruise after dinner as the kids Christmas surprise. We let our kids do the picking but since its a surprise that won't help you LOL. If you want a decent Christmas meal then WCC was really good. They had a special holiday skillet with turkey, roast pork, brisket and chicken with all the trimmings. Dessert was yuck but the meal made up for it plus the WL is awesome at Christmas. Ohana is one of our favs and it was teh regular meal but the kids had a blast. I am not looking forward to CM but its what hte kids want plus we are on a mission to try every restaurant atleast once for each meal so we can knock it off our list.

I love talking Disney especially at Christmas so if you need any other advice feel free!

We are going to be there from 23rd December to 6th January. Its our first Christmas there, so I am hoping to get loads of tips and ideas on these boards of what to do on the main days such as Christmas Day and New Years Eve and how to make the most of our holiday at such a busy time.

I am busting with excitement

We will be there from Dec. 19 thru the 26th off property at Orange Lake Country Club. We hope to get into either Disney's Key West or the Boardwalk Villas for the week of the 26 thru the 2nd. We would love to stay and have New Years Eve as well. We did this a few years ago and loved it. We are going to try for the Castle for Christmas Eve Dinner. I will be on the phone first thing when the lines open June 27th to try to get in.Its just me and Hubby but we both love Disney during the Holidays.

Just left my daughters school meeting and found out her HS choir will be going from 12/26-12/30 and singing at the CP on 12-28. I am soooo excited.
We are DVC and go often but have never been at Christmas other than the first week in Dec.
I know the crowds will be crazy but we are still so excited.
