Who else has to work today?

I'll be leaving in a couple hours to go to work at J.C. Penney. i was hoping that they would close early because of the holiday so I wouldn't have to work the night before my first day back at school. We were so busy yesterday because of all the college kids coming back into the area I'm still tired. Luckily today is time and a half ($$$ ) Anyone else have to work today?

I'm not working but I've been cleaning all morning so I might as well be. LOL

I have to work tonight, and we don't even get time and a half, my sister is working too, she is working from 11:30 am to 5:30 pm, and I am working from 6:30 pm to about 11:30 pm, depending on how long it takes to close.

My boss asked me to come in three times last friday and three times I told her NO!!!
I did promise her I would work late the rest of the week.

I am at work right now. I've only gotten two claims for the day and I am kinda bored but on well... at least I am not running around like a chicken with my head cut off... probally getting alot more accomplished on the dis and the internet than I would if I was at home and had other things to do...

DH changed jobs last month and this is the first time since we have been married that he has not had to work on a 3 day weekend! He has worked every 3 day weekend for the past 25 years and its nice to have him home! I am sorry for all of you who have to work today, {{{hugs}}}

From 5:00am to 1:00PM! I was suppose to stay till 2:00pm but called my manager and let him know ALL my vendors had come in for the day. I only had 12 show up and I usually have 22! The rest had the DAY OFF cause they work for NORMAL Companies like Coke and Pepsi!

I head off to work in about 2 hours.. untill 2:30am too. I then get up at 6:45am to get my little guy ready for his first full day of school. Grade 1 here he comes....

My husband works for Staples, and today is probably the busiest day of the year for them...very close to Christmas holiday season. He works 12-9. Actually, his last day off was last Sun and is not off until this coming Saturday. 12 straight days

Does not help much that it is rainy and dreary here in PA

My dh is working today but he works 11:30 P.M. to 8:00 A.M. He actually volunteers to work his holidays since it is double time and half and since he is 3rd shift, it really doesn't interfere with the day (usually). Still, it would be nice to have him home once and while on three day weekends.

Yep, I am at work today! 24 hours of stamping out disease and misery. Beating back the grim reaper and keeping undertakers out of work

DH just left for work a little while ago. He wasn't supposed to have to work today - it's someone else's week to be on call. But the systems that DH is the primary systems engineer for are having problems, and the on call guy couldn't figure out how to fix it. We're supposed to be able to login to a secure website from home and do almost everything we can do at work, but that system is down too - has been for a couple days. Nice timing for all the poor people who have to support our company's systems.

Argh - so much for our dinner plans and plans for a nice walk together on a beautiful evening.
