Younger DD9 started out her winter break with one day of good health. Older DD11 had a sleep oover last Saturday night so younger one slept with us. DH got up at 7 AM to shower for work, she started a nasty hacking cough. Ran fever all that day and the next, but no other real complaints. By Tuesday she's pretty much fever free and asks if she can tumble. After being cooped up in the house with both of them since Sunday I agree. DH had asked me if her throat looked like strep (on my cell as I'm in traffic), I call him later and tell him it looks abraded (hey He went to medical school, not me!) He comes in at 8PM, takes one look and reams me out for letting her tumble with Strep Throat! Off to Publix for antibiotics at 8:30PM. She felt rotten from then on. He finally stopped the antibiotics last night, after she up chucked her dosage in my kitchen floor while gagging. With one more week of break, older DD is probably going to come down with it the day before she starts back to school on the 3rd. Oh yeah, I start Jury Duty on the 2nd!
That happened to me last year, DD(2 then) got a stomach virus Christmas Eve - vomiting everywhere! It was awful!Christmas morning she was unwrapping gifts and pausing to lean over and vomit in the bucket in between... i felt so bad for her, especially as Christmas Eve is her birthday, so she got robbed Christmas eve, AND Christmas.
I hope your little one feels better soon!
Holy crap! The same thing happened to my dgf's 2 year old niece!! She turned 2 on Christmas eve and was ok then but woke up in the middle of the night puking and also had diarrhea. It was awful. She missed opening the presents and they had to leave early (they slept over). Her parents took her to the ER. They think she has a stomach virus.
