Riviera has a lot of availability from now on (7 months out) so i was up and ready when booking opened for 7 months out. I was ready to go waiting for it to hit 8am. I clicked to make the reservation the second it opened and the room disapeared :( i was really bummed but a few minutes later i refreshed and there it was showing full availabilty. I was able to snag 5 nights at Riviera in a Tower studio for my solo trip. So excited to try out this resort

Great. Glad to hear it. I previously have booked Riviera in a Standard studio for the first week of February. Looking forward to trying it out with my wife

I booked a 1 bedroom at Riviera. Would have preferred a studio but guess I wasn't fast enough. It is nice to have the extra space though.

I got the last day we needed for our trip in Feb. I had waitlisted over a week ago ( we are going early Feb.) and I kept stalking the site and snagged it today. Stalking over waitlist wins again for me! Congrats on getting your nights you wanted! We cannot wait to try this resort and see if it moves up to the top of our list of favorites!

August 5th is my date to try for a 2 bd for family trip. I hope we get it!

Hi Donna. If you want a 2-Bedroom Preferred view, then I think you PROBABLY won't have much problem. However, if you want a 2-Bedroom Standard view, it is much more iffy. I strongly recommend that you start signing on every morning 15 minutes before the 8 AM Eastern Time Computer Booking Window opens, and try to get it right away, and then walk it. If you are looking for Standard and you aren't willing to walk it, I really have my doubts you will get it.

Trying for the first week of March is a standard studio and it looks some some dates are sold out already. My 7 month day is on Monday. I don't feel like walking it so we will see what we get.

YUP ,I did to -Tower Studio Feb 27-March 5th .....

We used to enjoy trying all of the DVC properties at least once, but for the past few years we have a hard time convincing ourselves to venture away from Boardwalk. It's just so perfect for us for all of the obvious reasons, walking to two parks, a huge number of dining options within walking distance, etc.. We did try Copper Creek this year, and while it was really nice, there just wasn't as much to do, especially late at night.
I'd love to hear from people who usually stay at either BWV or BCV and are giving Riviera a shot instead. What were the deciding factors and trade offs in your decision?

I own at BWV and love it for the same reasons as you. I’m going to give Riviera a try. Why? Because it’s new and looks interesting. And because I have a feeling that it will become difficult to book once it sell out.

I did the same with CCV. I booked 2 nights there before moving to BWV two years ago. I like the resort but was unimpressed with the 2BR villa we had. Between the layout of the villa and the point-sucking cabins, I realized that I did not want to own there.

I have my own issues with the resale restrictions at Riviera. But I still want to stay there just once. And what better time to do it than next winter? And what better way to do it than with my “cheap” BWV points?

wondering if we should try for a Tower studio in March or BWV garden/poolview they are same amount of points 111..... Need to do more research on food options at Riviera!
