I forgot the boycott. But then again, I was on fumes - I had no choice.

Anyone else forget and buy gas today?

I did, I read the snopes site and was on Empty.

2 dollars and 18 cents!!!!

LMBO well I hope my local Boston news channel was informed as they reported it this morning. But yes I bought gas, not for my car as I rarely drive it but for my school bus.

I sadly became an unwilling participant in the fake and pointless boycott last night when my gas guzzling SUV hit fume status and needed to be filled.

I could try and buy gas today, but I don't think I could fit more than a dollar or two in the tank.

Well actually there IS a boycott. It's just not going to be effective. ;)

According to my gas gauge, I am 18 miles to empty. I really need to get gas, but I'm not, has nothing to do with a boycutt, has EVERYTHING to do with laziness! :p (laziness & the $32 it now cost to fill up my Chrysler Town & Country:( )

I fill up on Sun night or Mon mornings. I boycott Tues through Sat.

Hmmm...maybe I should go fill up my gas guzzler just to fight the boycott. It's still got half a tank though, so I'm gonna save my money and spend it on the stuff I really need. It looks like I can drive another hundred or so miles anyway, so that gets me through the weekend at least. I didn't purposely boycott, I just don't need gas.
And someone should tell the NH country music stations that there's no boycott today, cuz they sure were talking about it.

friendly info....

1.. you can get gas without filling your tank...
2... the lower you allow your gas level to get the greater the chances of sucking dirt into the system and blocking your fuel filter, which can be a costly repair...

I don't have a car, so I guess I participated. Boycotting for a day makes no sense though. Those who participated today will have to buy gas eventually. The companies get your money in the end.....just slightly delayed.

If people really want to "boycott" gasoline, shouldn't they stop buying it altogether? Maybe hop on a bike or walk? Otherwise, it just doesn't make sense to me.

I didn't get gas today, but I did notice it was about .20 cheaper than it was yesterday when I got gas! I paid $2.07 for plus and it was $1.86 this morning.

I didn't, but it was only because I didn't need any. There really was no boycott... it was all just an email hoax that comes out every year at this time!

Me. And every pump around me was filles. $2.03 a gallon for regular.

Boycotts only work if you stop buying something for an extended period of time... One day won't make any difference since.... if people are boycotting today, just means more people will buy tomorrow and it will make up for what wasnt bought today.

I paid $1.89 today. The most I have ever paid. I have seen those boycott emails go around everytime the gas prices start going up. It would take longer than a one day boycott to be effective.

Guilty as charged.. Going to the lake tomorrow and bought gas today for $2.07 unleaded regular.. Attendant said gas will be even HIGHER tomorrow, so I'm sure glad I got it today!!

The "boycott" - if it even took place - is useless and totally ineffective..
