I thought I would "get a jump" on airfare comparisons and post this thread. I know many of us have our reservations during the Free Dining Promo in Aug/Sept and wanted to have a comparison.

Please post where you're flying from, what airline, dates flying, how many stops, and total price of ticket.

This will help others who are still contemplating, shopping around or wanting to buy early anticipating higher airfare costs. I'll begin...

Denver to MCO - Non Stop- Dep. 9/29 Ret 10/8 - Total cost $304.10-United (Ted)

I got into panic mode when I heard that prices would be going up as soon as 5/1/06. If they go up or down, I don't care, at least it's done :thumbsup2

We thought the same thing. We booked at the end of March so we could have a non-stop flight.

Chicago to MCO. 8/30-9/4 United (Ted) $203.10

Booked 2/1 for Allegiant air Portsmouth-Sanford $131 (including taxes) per person. I'm so glad I purchased then, its gone up $60 per ticket!

August 19-31, nonstop roundtrip for four people from LaGuardia to Orlando, bought on Song (now just Delta) late last year for $158 each.

I have decided tp play chicken a bit longer. Best price I can get right now is $229 which is exactly double what I paid last year. Not sure how much longer I want to hold off.

I'm holding out for tickets from SC to Orlando. They are $288/person now non-stop. Not sure how much longer I can stand to play this game though. I will probably bit the bullet any day now! OUCH!

Flying in August Midwest Express from Milwaukee to MCO direct. 212 a person and the baby was 1/2 price so under 750 for 4 of us :banana:

I'm still waiting on purchasing tickets. Looking for Indianapolis or Louisville to MCO. Southwest's DING program keeps doing airfares only through the end of May so we're waiting for them to get on the ball and start offering fares for the rest of their dates.

We paid for SJU to MCO $239.50 per person, non-stop through Delta. Right now the price is $279.50. Thank GOD!! I bought them before.

Jet Blue sept.23-oct.1 Nonstop 4 people at $287pp. Ouch but the prices will be much higher after may 1. Oh out of Boston to mco. Have fun all. :banana:

August 31 - September 4, $127 rt nonstop from Washington/Dulles to MCO. Purchased from Airtran in early March.

Very interesting!! Anyone else from the west going to MCO??

After I posted this thread, I saw a piece on Nightline or one of those shows talking about the airlines losing money and how inevitably the prices are going to go higher. It felt so good just knowing I didn't have to worry...don't know how much peace of mind is worth, but at least I have that :sunny:

I give credit to everyone who is holding out and playing chicken. I SO wish I could do it, but these gas prices have me scared :sad2: Anyone else?? So far I've paid the most :rolleyes2

August 28 - Sep 1st -- AirTran -- Philly to Orlando (me & DD)
$ 79. down non-stop plus tax
$ 89. back 1 stop plus tax

Was too good to pass.

Also Philly to Boston on AirTran the week before at $ 49. each way plus tax (me, DH, DD)

Hope I don't get hit with any surcharges!!

We are also waiting for tickets for 8/6-20 out of buffalo

on SWA non-stop, $283 per person!! More than I wanted to pay but not more than I expected. 8/25 to 9/3, too nervous to wait and flight times were good.

BOS > MCO 9/29 - 10/5, $204.10 JetBlue non-stop both ways (I was playing chicken, but JetBlue won :)

Aug 21 - Sept 1 Syracuse to Orlando & return with a connection in Philly--US Airways $179.00 pp; booked in Feb or early March (seems like a long time ago now!). Booked through Expedia. :yay:

August 5 - August 12; Bloomington, IL to MCO Delta r/t non-stop $177.10/person.

I found it last week. It appears Delta has just added a few new n/s routes and this one is very close to home.
