Who do you say "I love you" to?

Just curious after reading another post!

I only ever say it to my DH, usually daily.

...and occasionally to my Mum and to my Dad (when he was alive).

Oh lots of people!! Every day I say it to my DH and my girls. I always tell my Mom that I love her when I see her, and I try to tell my friends that I love them!

I'm a lovey kind of person! I believe that you should tell people you love them as often as you can!

Let me think...certainly, my kids, daily. My boyfriend. My mom, my brother, one uncle I'm particularly close to......probably the oddest person I say "I love you" to is the son of my ex-husband and his new wife (so, my kids' half-brother). But he is a sweetheart, and I love him to bits. I also occasionally tell my best friend.

My dh and kids everyday, many times a day. My parents at the end of a phone call or visit (and sometimes the in-laws). My sister and my best friend. I also give hugs and kisses to them all. And I give hugs to people I don't "love", but I'm very happy to see. I'm not shy with my love.

This question made me smile. Naturally, I tell all my family and my wonderful Dh that I love them. However, when my Dh was in Iraq last year, the phone would ring and when you answered you heard yourself echoed through the phone line, which meant that Iknew it was my hero or sometimes by looking at caller-id. Sometimes, I'd answer the phone with "I love you" because with the tentative phone lines since you never knew when they would cut out. One time I answered saying this and the salesman said that I hadn't even heard his sales pitch yet...lol.

DH (whose name is Tim, read more to see why this is important), DD, DS, Mom, MIL, FIL every time I call or say goodbye. Basically, all my immediate family (Dad and grandparents are dead).

One time, I was talking to a man who works for me, whose name is Tim. As I hung up, I said "Love you". When I realized what I said, I called him back and apologized! I just hadn't been thinking. He said that his first wife (who had died of cancer) had been named Lisa, and that more than once, he's almost said the same thing when we finished a conversation. Funny how our minds work isn't it!
