Who do you recommend for MDR server on the Disney Fantasy?

We will be on the upcoming Southern Caribbean sailing on the Disney Fantasy. Previous servers we have had are no longer on the Fantasy and have been moved to the Wish, Magic, Wonder. So, we were wondering if suggestions for a serving team could be provided. Thanks!

How does one tell if a server is still on a particular Disney ship?

We have never requested a specific team, though I know many people do. I have never had anything less than “excellent” service.

Hard to know anymore who’s going to be where. My January service team from the Fantasy, including head server, was on my May Magic sailing. Did you like anyone from other ships? I’d ask for them on the chance they were moved also. But it was mentioned above that you really can’t go wrong with Disney servers. Other ships might have that problem but people work hard to get these jobs. I have sailed 8x except the Dream and just figured the person I had before would be gone, so I’ve never asked. My tips I give above the pre-paid amount keep going up because my service is always amazing!

I have absolutely NO clue if they're still on the Fantasy or not but you can't go wrong with Emmanuel or Keegan! If they're still on this ship. This was all pre-covid.

We always use Nelia Henry from St. Lucia on the Fantasy. Have used her for the last five years. Sh's excellent with all ages!!

We were on the fantasy in June and had Aubrey and Brian who were amazing

We just got off the Fantasy and our favorite server is on there. We found out last month (asked after him on the Dream). We've had him three times now and he's fabulous. Jay from Jamaica. Our head server told us that any time they have VIPs onboard, they put them with Jay, that's how good he is.

This cruise, a friend of the dining room manager (the lady in charge of ALL the food service across the entire ship) was onboard and was seated in Jay's section. The dining room manager dined with her on a couple of occasions. So basically, he's the guy they put with the entire boss of all the food on the ship. He's the best.

Ashang, Ashang, Ashang. Kendell was the head server and was FABULOUS as well. Had him for Spring Break this year and he’s the best hands down.

We are sailing Spring Break on the Fantasy again in 2023 and will be keeping our fingers and toes crossed that Kendell and Ashang are still on the Fantasy!!!!!

We are sailing Spring Break on the Fantasy again in 2023 and will be keeping our fingers and toes crossed that Kendell and Ashang are still on the Fantasy!!!!!

I feel bad because we had a really great server on our last Fantasy trip by the name of Charlie. We didn’t ask for Ashang because we had been told that he was no longer with DCL (whether that was incorrect info, or if Ashang actually did leave but then came back, we’ll never know), and Charlie did a fine job.

But then, to our surprise, we “bumped into” Ashang at Cabanas. We think Charlie (to whom we mentioned our fondness for Ashang) gave him the heads-up, and Ashang probably looked our names up in some database so he could bird-dog us in Cabanas.

There is no way - no way - he recognized us on-sight, from memory, after four years, given how much my kids have changed in appearance.

Charlie was, again, great - very polished, very professional, very top-notch. Absent Ashang, we would have no qualms about asking for Charlie again, but knowing that Ashang is still on the Fantasy, it’s really no contest.
