Who did your Photography and were you pleased?

I've tried to look at a lot of the photo links, but many have expired or I can't get access.

I thought I'd start an informal survey here. We are planning on a Monday morning VR ceremony (that will look a lot like the wedding we didn't have 23 years ago) with a reception likely at GF. Earlier that morning, though, we'd like to do a MK portrait session in our wedding attire.

So, I am looking for opinions. Please tell me who did your photography and whether you were pleased with the product and the price. We are only doing stills (no video). Thanks for your help!

Hi! We are using Nathan & Jensey Root (www.rootography.com). They were very willing to customize a photography package for our wedding that fit our budget.

We did an engagement portrait session with them at Wilderness Lodge and the Polynesian a few months ago, and the results were amazing! Plus, Nathan is super-friendly and made us feel really comfortable during the session.

We used Randy and LOVED him. Awesome guy, great personality, can help lace a corset gown and dress a groom too, outstanding photos, great prices. I don't think we are on his link anymore, but I can send you some of ours if you'd like. He took over 800 photos for our intimate ceremony, we got all the proofs in a leather binder, high res master CD with copyright, and I think an 11X14 is included with the smallest package. There are many ordering options if you want to get them through him and his prices are more than reasonable !

We used Disney (we had to meet minimums) and loved them. Paul Looper was awesome and we were very happy

Paul did our Honeymoon shoot at AK and was a blast. He has a lot of fun at his job and it makes you feel at ease ! Ty did our MK and was also really good ! But, like I said, Randy did the ceremony and was awesome !

Oh, my goodness! These pictures are absolutely gorgeous!!

Well, look at how beautiful you all are -- the photographers could not have gone wrong!!! I have a few years on all of you and I am hoping for some creative lighting and angles. Oh, and I should mention that having lost more than 70 pounds, I am determined to lose another 30-35, so at least I won't have to worry too much about hiding behind something as was my practice for about 25+ years of my life. Yay, and thank God, most wedding gowns I'd consider will cover a lot of the problem areas.

Seriously, though, I truly appreciate everyone's time that they've taken to post and to link photos. Hopefully the questions I'm asking and the answers you are all so generous to post will help others in their planning too.

Allison -- your bouquet is exquisite! Now I'll have to start a thread asking for pictures of bridal bouquets. I hadn't realized how differently they all photograph and how certain colors "pop" and other colors are sweet and soft. Wow! I have to give this a LOT more thought!

sunsh1ne -- don't apologize for all the pix. The angles/composition are wonderful!

lurkyloo -- It looks like the photographer had so much fun with you guys! What wonderful memories you've captured!

I really didn't mean to single anyone out because all of these pictures are beautiful and so much fun to look at.

Thank you - that was agony....I LOVE PINK and knew I wanted the green hydrangea, but could not decide if I wanted something just soft with the pink and green or if I wanted to go hot pink and light pink...then my floral manager mentioned teh Rosini roses (which are the bright pink ones) and then I added the soft pink ones as well.

we used Randy and absolutely loved him. He was excellent, we had the intimate package (20 people or less) and got over 1000 photos from him.
