We were supposed to cut down the tree today but the weather didn't cooperate, so we will go tomorrow. We spent the whole day decorating. The older we get, the more 'stuff' we have, lol. We started at 8:00 am and finished this evening. Everything but the tree is done. Now its time for more turkey sandwiches!

What about you, did you decorate today?

--PS: I even spent an hour on American Eagle website and got some cute clothes for DD...BOGO half-off, and free shipping over $100 (plus extra 20%) Woo-hoo!

I put my daughter's stocking up but that's it. No room for the tree yet. My bf is supposed to move his desk into the bedroom (it's in the living room now)...hopefully this week...then I can get the tree up. :)

My apartment looks so unfestive. :sad2:

Almost done! :santa:

Got the tree up...
The garland on the doorway and fireplace mantle....
Stockings are hung by the chimney with care
And Christmas knick-knacks are everywhere! :santa:

Now it's just time to put all those rubbermaid containers away :rotfl:

DH has to finish outside tomorrow after he helps decorate the exterior of the church in the morning.....

DH, DGD's and I put up the tree and all of the inside decorations. It looks very festive. I was having trouble getting into the holiday season but this definitely helps. DH put the outside decorations up a few weeks ago while it was warm. We probably won't turn them on for another week though.:goodvibes

My son and I got all our outside lights and displays finished up today:thumbsup2

We planted tulips. We always do this on Black Friday, but I've decided to now call this day the color of the tulips, so today was Pink Friday

don't look too close you will see the Halloween decorations still up

I put up all the outside non-electric stuff....pine roping, wreaths, flags, windsocks. We are getting new LED lights which DH ordered the other day, so they should be here early next week and then they will go out. Tomorrow I'll probably do the inside linens and so forth...tablecloths, towels etc. Throughout the course of the week I'll do a little...I can't do it all at once...there's too much and I get too tired schlepping up and down the basement stairs.

We did it all yesterday! :woohoo: The tree, the mantle, and the banister are all sparkling with holiday cheer! pixiedust: The kid did their trees as well. We sure have a a lot of trees for Jews.

We started yesterday with the outside stuff and putting the tree up. Today I did most of the inside work. The tree is all done and just need to put a few more things in place and upstairs is done. We need to do some major cleaning downstairs and then we can do that as well.

I got one of the trees up (we have one in the family room and one in the living room). I also got the Bedford Falls Christmas village set up and my little Mickey Christmas village set up. Tomorrow morning I'll do the other Christmas tree and bring up a few more odds and ends.

OK no fair. Does one of your helpers have shorts on? Good for you...

We put up all our outdoor stuff today. Tomorrow is inside.

DW put the tree up last weekend. Today we did the fall yardwork and only added lights to the back pine tree. Much more to do still.

Our outside decorating is done. We went to the tree farm and cut down our tree today. We will put ir u-p and decorate this weekend.

I had my 11 YO neice over today and we decorated outside - still not finished - DH and I will try and finish it up tomorrow. I have 2 trees up inside - one - the 6 footer in our bedroom (you can see it from outside in front of house) has been up since earlier this week but there are still no lights or ornaments. I got a new tree today - a 4 ft white tree for the pink boa, crown and wand I got from my stepmother yesterday for my bday - so I am blaming it all on her!! My niece helped make some ornaments for the tree as well - egg carton styrofoam painted pink and glitter cut out with cookie cutters. Still have to finish that tree and put up the one in the living room (can see that from the front of the house as well) I am taking down the Thanksgiving decorations and still have to pull down all the inside Christmas decorations - hope to have it mostly completed by the end of the weekend. Not looking forward to a root canal on Monday so I am hoping the decorations will cheer me up!!

My tree went up two weeks ago.

It's all I'm doing this year. I've picked a few things up that I LOVE but wanted to wait until we got settled in our new house and I had a better feel of things to really buy decorations!!

My daughter and I spent all day decorating today, and my husband came home from work and said that he thought it was too early to have the decorations up and acted all unhappy about it. I'm so bummed.

Not yet, but it's on the agenda for the weekend. DD and I spent all day shopping and I did put a very large dent in my shopping which I'm happy to say. Now that I'm thinking of it, I should have had DH bring up the bins from the crawl space tonight since he works tomorrow. Sunday I hope to have the tree up in its entirety. This will be the first year we put it up this early, but since every upcoming weekend is packed, I don't have much a choice. It'll be nice to have it up, though. It's soooooo much work though, isn't it?:headache:

Yes, I did everything including the tree (which is artificial). I wasn't planning on it but I had my college DSs home help me get the boxes out of the attic before they left to see friends. I am glad I did it. The next weeks get so hectic, especially at work. Now I can take my last day of Thanksgiving break and relax with the book I am trying to finish.
