Hi

Our flights were cancelled on Monday night, I called the disney reservations number to advise and was told just to contact the hotel direct. Couldn't get through to the hotel so called reservations again and was told not to call the hotel but to email dlp.uk.admin@disney.com to advise we had to cancel due to airport being closed due to the weather and request a letter confirming we didn't turn up for the insurance company, did that and have heard nothing.

I see Mumtobelle had to cancel due to her flight being cancelled and got the chance to change her dates as a gesture of goodwill. Probably too late now to go back to them again but would like to put something down in an email asking if this is there policy would they do the same for us.

Is it worth it?

it is definately worth asking, at worst you'll have spend a few minutes composing an email / making a phone call and if DLP are changing dates it'll make the process so much more straight forward then going thru insurance companies.

hope you get good results

I would say keep trying to phone and hopefully you will get someone helpful. They are pretty dreadful at replying to emails, from personal experience. The only time I have had a prompt and useful response was when I addressed a query to the Shareholders email address - if you are a shareholder maybe you could try this?

My DS had to cancel due to the strike in October and she was able to change dates with one days notice.

Thanks

Got an email back today saying that we can transfer what our November trip cost to another date. Just need to go back to them with dates.

In the meantime fairy grandmother :tink:(MIL) has paid for a 3 night trip to Disneyland Hotel on 14th December for her, me and ds, really nice of her. Haven't told ds, age 3, going to wait to the day before once we are sure the weather won't stop us going again, fingers crossed. MIL had her holiday to Krakow cancelled yesterday when they shut Edinburgh airport again.

Want to be excited especially the thought of the disneyland hotel but trying to stay calm in case it all goes pearshape again.....
