This recipe was my Grandma's and she made this during the holidays, but I think the proportions don't fit today's products. Who has any ideas about this? This is a recipe from the 1960's.

1 tall can pineapple juice
1 can lemon juice
2 packages lemon-lime kool-aid
1 big gingerale
2 cups sugar
use one gallon container and fill rest of the way with water. Chill.

As you can see, I don't know what a TALL can of pineapple juice is or a CAN of lemon juice. There's no way a 2L gingerale and today's 46 oz can of pineapple juice will fit in a gallon container and still have room to fill the rest of the way with water!

Here's one:

6 oz. can frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
2 6 oz cans frozen limeade concentrate, thawed
2 c water
Few drops green food coloring, if desired
2 (28 oz) bottles ginger ale, chilled
Ice cubes or ice mold

(Another recipe I found says put the ginger ale in just before serving)

Similar:

2 (3 ounce) packages lime flavored gelatin mix
1 quart hot water
1 (46 fluid ounce) can pineapple juice
2 (12 fluid ounce) cans frozen orange juice concentrate, thawed
2 cups white sugar
4 1/2 cups cold water
2 liters ginger ale

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

DIRECTIONS:
In a large saucepan dissolve the gelatin in 1 quart of hot water. Allow to cool.
When gelatin is cool, pour into a large punch bowl, Stir in pineapple juice, orange juice concentrate, sugar and 4 1/2 cups cold water. Pour in ginger ale just before serving.
