Ok, I'll admit it...after seeing how great Cher looked last night, I've decided I am definitely getting some "work" done. But I would definitely want to go to someone with an incredible reputation- even if it means traveling to Beverly Hills. Who are the ones that keep these celebrities looking so great...anyone know???

Good luck - just don't pick Joan Rivers's plastic surgeon. Yikes!

I don't think you'd need to go to Beverly Hills. Just make sure you get good references and find a doctor that is Board Certified.

Stay away from Michael Jackson's too . . .

I don't care how good it would make me look when I was older, I'm never having my face removed and then put back on! LOL (other things I might consider LOL :teeth:

Wow guys...thanks, you've been so helpful! I know we could go on forever about bad plastic surgeries, but I actually had rhinoplasty when I was 18 and I still have a great nose after all these years. Look at someone like, say Susan Lucci....now come on, we all know shes had stuff done...but is she incredible or what? I think for every plastic surgery nightmare, there are probably many more success stories. We just might think someone looks great, not realizing they've had "work" done. I would have to think that after a while, none of Michael Jacksons doctors wanted to keep working on him, or Joan Rivers, but I guess money talks. By the way, I read that a Dr. Baker in Manhatten did Susan Lucci. Anyone hear of him?

I'm sorry, ez. I was just kidding. Honestly, I know several people who have had plastic surgery and most were very happy with the results, and none have horror stories.

My only advice is to go to more than one Dr for consultations, no matter how famous or highly recommended. If I had the money, I'd be going myself.

I've decided to have plastic surgery as well, probably sometime after Christmas. I've not gone in for a consult yet, but I do have the name of someone here in Atlanta who is supposed to be very good. If you want his name, you can PM me.

Do you know anyone in your area that's had it done. (I'm sure it's a question that just comes up over coffee...LOL!) Seriously, personal references from peers are one of the best ways to find someone. I know who I would pick in my area since I worked at the hospital 8 years. And a couple years ago my sister told me she had a few things done. I never would have noticed if she didn't point things out to me. Sounds like she has a good one. But she's in VA. :teeth: Good luck!

I agree that Susan Lucci looks fantastic. However, I think Cher looks way scary. She has that permanent frozen look on her face. Yikes.

I don't blame you for considering plastic surgery. I've thought about it before, but I know my husband would probably divorce me if I followed through with it. Good luck to you in finding a good surgeon.

I think My husband wants me to get plastic surgery. Every time I casually bring it up, he's encouraging. He doesn't say, nah, honey, you don't need it:rolleyes: I'm thinking more about my face...but I think he has other areas in mind!
