Who am I? Lady GaGa or something? 2/8 A Little Trip Around the World, Sort of...

Happy New Year Melissa! :goodvibes

Wow your meal at V&A sounds amazing!! I'm glad you got to experience some great food with some great friends!

Yay at TSM only being a 20 min wait and am pleased the new arrangements worked without any incidents!

Sounds like you all enjoyed your meal at H&V and love the pics with the characters.

That is just the cutest smile on Ryan's face when he was hugging his characters. Especially June. :goodvibes Just adorable!!!

I liked the first ride of ST better than the others that we took but I can see it making you feel queasy.....Great changes though :thumbsup2

What a fun morning at DHS.

I was wondering why anyone would go to H&V...but with the young ones and the characters, I can see the reason.

Great photopass photos!

And how nice that your son got some alone time with G&G while you guys used your FP's for TSM.

It was really a great morning!

I really wonder why anyone would do dinner at H&V!! There are no characters at dinner so what the point?!

I think DS really enjoyed the time with G&G!

Nice on the short wait times that morning!! What was the date?

I think it's cool that your little guy got to be the TSM champ and see his favorite Disney Junior friends! So special - you can tell by his smile that he's super happy!!

Plus - your older son getting to spend special time with his grandparents - that's nice.

Hmm, where is dinner going to be????

Tour Guide Mike did well with that day! It was Oct 18th!

Ryan was so excited that he was champion! ;) A little white lie never hurt and he was soooo happy! He LOVED seeing all the characters at H&V! Especially June!

Johnny LOVES Grandma and Grandpa so much! It was great for them to see the show together!

Dinner?! Soon you shall see! ;)

Tracy

Those pics make me smile!! He's such a cutie!

See, I like the second ride better then the first! I didn't feel queasy at all the second ride!

That is good to hear since we will be there next October around that same time!!! I'll have to check with TGM!!!

Definitely checkout TGM! We've been in October 4 times and this October was far more crowded! But, TGM really helped!

Tracy - I love your pictures and your review of V&A's. Let me just ask this....Do you have to wear a black dress to go there. :rotfl: I think I just bought the best dress for eating there, but its not black? But its like a camo dress - you can't see your stomach when its bursting. ;)

Melissa - I love all the family pictures from Hs. They are awesome and I'm so glad you and Ryan got some alone time. What do you mean epic fail with the pictures? They are wonderful. :goodvibes

Ugh, sorry Star Tours made you woozy! :(

Ryan is just so cute! He looks so happy getting to meet his favorite characters.

I have been MIA on the dis for the last month and a half so I am catching up!

:thumbsup2What a great view from your room!

I loved your son's cake at Chef Mickey's. Too cute!

Wow, what an amazing dinner at Victoria and Alberts. It looked like you girls had a great time.

Now, I need to get over to your other report.

:lmao: about the black dresses! I think Jen's dress may have been blue, but don't quote me on that!

Ahhhhh, family pics!! Hold on sister you ain't seen nothing yet! Normally I would have taken a lot more pictures! Queue pics, ride pics etc, but I didn't!

The first Star Tours ride was a little nauseating! But it was still very cool and I won't hesitate to do it again!

Ryan is such a little cutie! He was soooo excited at H&V! Especially to see June!!

Welcome back! I know all about being absent from Dis! Usually for me I ended up missing the whole summer because summer around here is busy!

I was so please with how the cake came out! Chef Brain at the Contemporary outdid himself! DS loved it!!

V&A was phenomenal!!!!

Maybe some of you can help me on the Star Tours ride. I am a bit prone to motion sickness and do take dramamine when we cruise and at WDW. I DO NOT ride the teacups at all. I can handle Soarin' and BTMRR (I get a little queasy by the end).

How is Star Tours for motion sickness? I would like to try it. But I don't do much at DHS and we will skip the park b/c the only thing we really like is TSMM and GMR plus shows.

Just wondering if I might be able to handle it with Dramamine...

Honestly, I'm not sure! DH gets motion sick, that's why he stays off of ST. But, he gets it really easily. I really think that it depends on what trip you get. Our second ride, a few days later, was different and I didn't feel it at all. I bet if you post something on the theme park board you'll get some great answers.

Moving along! Back at BLT after a fun morning at DHS we rested a bit before the kiddos decided that they reallllllly needed to go to the arcade! The sky was way to threatening, the weather forecast way too ominous, and you can’t kept Johnny away from video games! I wasn’t all that excited about the prospect of going, not to mention I was in the middle of straightening up the room and doing laundry! So DH volunteered to take them!! He actually volunteered!! That is unheard of for my DH! He would have done it if asked him to but volunteering is not something DH does!! I guess I got lucky that day!

They were gone well over an hour! Another shocker!! The kids love it when Daddy takes them to the park, but it’s usually like 30 – 45 minutes! Not long enough for them!

I was able to finish straightening, change the laundry, do a few little odds and ends for travel clients and take a bath! Woo hoo!!

Once DH and the kiddos arrived back it was nearing time to leave for dinner so DH and the kiddos freshened up, MIL and FIL (who had spent the afternoon on the balcony) got ready and we headed over to the main building to get a cab!

I’ve grown quite fond of taking a cab here and there at WDW! We don’t do it often, but for a trip to another resort or a trip to DTD (I hate the buses to DTD!) it’s sooooo much easier! Not to mention it had started to rain and I didn’t want to fuss around!

So we were off Yacht Club! It started raining quite hard while we were on our way and I was very happy for the existence of the Port a Cochere!

We checked in at Yachtsman and were soon seated! No pictures were taken because I didn’t want to take my camera out in the rain! Appetizers were ordered! I haven’t a clue whatever one ordered. But I know I ordered the Lobster Bisque! It was good!! Not Chef’s good, but close! Johnny and Ryan ordered got chicken noodle soup as their appetizers! They loved it! Dorothy opted for no appetizer because she wanted an adult meal and there was nothing she wanted for appetizers.

Next, dinner! I ordered a filet while DH and FIL ordered Rib Eyes and MIL ordered salmon. I believe Dorothy ordered a strip steak! That kid LOVES a good steak! Johnny and Ryan both got spaghetti! Everything was very, very good! Though I had a hardtime eating! I think I was still full from V&A the night before!

I believe we skipped dessert because we were too full! While we ate it poured!!! I mean poured like holy heck, CRAZY!

Luckily, it had slowed down a bit when we left and we went to get a cab! We were soon back at BLT and getting ready for the next day!

With a good night sleep we got up the next day, ate breakfast and got ready! We made sure to get dressed right before we left the room because I would have died if our clothes had gotten messed up!

Why?

Because we were having pictures taken! Not a photopass photo shoot! But, a real, professional photographer! I had thought about doing the photopass shoot, we did it in 09 at WL. But, upon doing a little research on dis I found that the price had gone up considerably and a lot of disers weren’t really pleased with the outcome. Then I remembered that I had seen at least one TR where the family had pictures taken by a real photographer, someone who normally does WDW weddings. So, a little more research lead me in the right direction and I called Roots Photography! But, upon speaking to Nathan Root I found out that they weren’t actually living in FL anymore and traveled back and forth between FL and TN. Unfortunately they weren’t scheduled to be in FL during our trip! So, a little more research lead me to Randy Chapman!

I called his office and got everything set up!

We scheduled to meet him at Boardwalk at 10 am! So, we took a cab again so we wouldn’t muss our clothes. We got to Boardwalk a little early and hung out in the lobby a bit.

Soon Randy arrived! He was super nice and so good with the kids! I was also super impressed that he had a few towels with him! With all the rain the night before a lot of stuff was still wet! So, we wiped it down for us!

Anyway, without further adieu our pictures…

I LOVE this picture of my baby!!

Continued next post...

This picture completely captures Johnny's personality! Laid back, just chillin!

A CM from the bakery came out and gave the kiddos cookies!

We're looking at the pirate ship for the little kids pirate cruise if your wondering...

Again, this completely captures Dorothy's personality! Always thinking, always wondering about something, always learning...

Wondering if they can get a beer ;)

We walked over to BC and along the way we saw Christine (2xcited2sleep) A few more pics

racing!

and we were done!

So we decided to headover to Epcot via the international gateway! LOVE IT!!!

But, would there be F&W drinks to be had?!

FANTABULOUS pictures!!!! Good thing you got dressed after breakfast - with white shirts and all!
How nice to get cookies too!! Bonus!

My favorites are the one of the three kids sitting with their backs to the camera and the one of the 5 of you walking away down the beach. SO COOL!!!!

I love pictures that are not looking at the camera. I have one of my DH from when he was about 10 at the beach just looking out at the water. It's one of my all time favorites. So I recreated it with my kids!

Did you end up buying a lot? I would have a hard time deciding!

I love the ones were they aren't looking at the camera! I always try to sneak pics like that and they always look at me! So I tell them not to look at the camera! Of course, then when I want them to look they don't! Grrrr!

Actually, I should have mentioned this! It was $200 and we got a CD with every picture he took! It was like 400 pictures! Those are the ones that are my favorites! But I have all of them! Good deal if you ask me!!!

Great pictures!! We were pretty happy with our photo session in November. I guess they aren't the same photographers that do photopass any more. And we got lucky & got in when the price was still $99. It went up to $150 right after we booked but we were still guaranteed the $99 price. :thumbsup2 You have a great variety in your pictures - I'll definitely keep the private photographer in mind if we want to do it in the future.

My boys LOVE that they get to ride together at Disney. They fight quite a bit too but something about riding together makes them get along. We'll see if that changes once it gets old!

Your family pictures are amazing!! You all look fabulous!!!!!

Glad you had such a great experience and the weather was fantastic for your day!!!

Ahh all the photos are so great! Sounds like it was a very pleasant experience!
I'm glad it rained the day before the shoot and not the day of! :goodvibes

That is a good deal, not all that much more really than the photopass cd version. Great pictures!!!!!!!!!!!!
