Who all likes Cats here ?

Cat's are pretty much my favorite animals and let me tell you I love and adore all animals. You are talking to someone who has taken lizard's outside so they would not get hurt and someone who has saved bugs

Anyways I have 5 Cats their names are Ally,Chili,Olive,Ivy and Pepper > Ally and Olive are my to black cats. Olive because she looks like a tiny little black olive when I adopted her from an animal shelter and Ally because I liked the name so much. Chili because he has kinda a red chili like color to him,Pepper because he is grey and white, and Ivy because I just felt the name fit's her for some reason.

I have been to animal shelters before and have donated food,towels and other items that shelters are in need of. In fact even toys can make a good donation My Cats are like my Children so much that they are my real Children if that made any sense to you ? I love Cats so much, sometimes I even call myself Shylittlekitten

Well of course you will not come down on your little brother ( I say little cause I am younger than you ) I mean you have the little Baby Chickk under your name that says " I'm not a Nugget " you got that from Peta. So it's pretty clear to me that you must love all animals

When I bought my dh a cat last year for his Christmas/Bday present I wasn't the biggest fan of cats. We had had a few in the past years that came and went due to moving around so much. But my husband grew up around animals and my kids were begging so I had to give in. I still think he's a bit of a pain but he really is the sweetest little kitty around. I love it when he comes up and starts kissing my nose!

I love cats (and dogs!). I have an 18 year old yellow tabby who DH and I found in the parking lot of a restaurant on my birthday 17 years ago. He is king of the household and has outlived 2 dogs (he's on his 3rd dog!).

I also have a 13 1/2 year old pit bull mix who DH and I adopted from the pound as a puppy (we adopted an adult dog at the same time who we had to have put to sleep a few years ago due to advanced hip dysplasia. She was 12 or 13 years at the time which is pretty old for a german shepherd mix).

As I'm typing this, my cat is fast asleep on the heated dog bed, and my dog is asleep on the rug in front of the bed.

I was a member of PETA in my college days, but do have disagreements with the way they go about their handling of certain issues (don't want to get into an argument, as I certainly respect your views and participation). I just do my own thing right now: vegatarian, won't patronize circuses, don't shop at stores that sell fur, etc...; but I don't discuss my views or practices unless I'm asked.

I also am a self-admitted animal rights hypocrite. I won't eat an animal or wear it's fur--but don't take away my leather Jimmy Choo shoes!

I was asking if you where a member of Peta2. A member of Peta2 means you make a user name to post on Peta2 a member of Peta means you send them a $16 or more donation every year lol

Now let me say that I may not agree with everything Peta does either. But I still think for the most part that they are a good group. I am not a member of Peta right now though.

I have cats and dogs, but if forces to choose I would have to say I'm a cat person. We have 2 dogs, 2 cats, and this fall we got 2 kittens. They are little terrors, but are so cute.

luvmydogs, I'm vegie, also and feel the same as you. I don't discuss it with friends in general and don't judge others for what they do. I don't eat meat or wear fur, but do use leather.

I also want to point out that not only am I a Vegetarian but also a Vegan but I don't even condemn people for eating meat or dairy, eggs ect. Most of the time I don't talk about my Vegan life. If I do it's because someone might start talking about food and I will say I am a Vegetarian, but even then I don't always say I am a Vegetarian because I love animals, many times I just say I am a Vegetarian because I don't like to eat meat.

Anyways if I only accepted friends if they where Vegan I would have a lot less friends than I have now. If I see someone with a Vegan Logo or a Peta Icon or a Peta saying under their name that is another time that I might bring up the subject like I did when I saw what luvmydogs had under her name.

We all love cats at our house. Right now, we have nine, down from 15 a year or so ago. We had two 17yo cats who we lost in September, and a 9yo who disappeared one weekend while we were away. She was a young, healthy cat, and the vet thinks maybe a coyote may have gotten her. Now we still have a 17yo cat who still thinks she is a kitten, and three of her progeny, as well as several others we have collected over the years. Our youngest was being raised by raccoons under our shed when we rescued her. She is now 3yo and spoiled rotten.

Cat lover here. We lost 8 cats in the last 2.5 years and all but one died of old age related problems. My 19.5 yo died one month ago today. We adopted 2 Siamese kittens from the shelter in August and love them to death!
We really do love animals in our family. My DS had 2 cats, SIL has 3 cats and 2 dogs, Brother has a cat, sister has 3 cats and 2 dogs.

DS is a vegetarian and uses nothing made from animal. He is not a vegan, though. I only eat fish and DH eats only chicken, turkey and fish.

You sound like a very sweet & loving animal person. I love cats too, but I can't have them, 'cause I have a little parakeet.
