Who all applied for the WDW Mom's Panel today? Let's get a DISer on the Panel!!!

I applied too, just remembered when I saw the thread on here! So what is the next step? Do we just sit and wait for the call? I have never done this before!

Welcome to the waiting room. We now wait for the e-mail from Disney saying if you've made it to round 2 or not.

The manager of my local Disney Store asked me yesterday if I wanted to join them as a seasonal CM for the holidays. I laughed and told him it would get in the way of my WDW Mom's Panel application!:lmao:

Funny thing (to me anyway) was the next part - he looked at me as if he'd been hit by a bus and then asked me what it was! :rotfl2: I just looked at him and said " Hello - Synergy?" (he knows I'm an ex-Disney Store CM). Apparently they don't tell California DS CMs about WDW happenings! :confused3

Bret's answers to his questions were in the articles I posted a page back or so.

Thanks, I skipped right past it the first time. I just spent some time reading it and I'm even more excited for my trip in about 36 hours!

Thanks for posting the link.

I read Bret's answers from last year but the questions this year were different then last years. Unfortunately, I didn't include in the first question enough things about me and mostly talked about my family. Last year I only gushed about my love for Disney and didn't make it to the 2nd round so this year I didn't gush at all. Who knows what they are looking for  The only thing I regret is not mentioning the amount I time I spend on the Dis. Oh well... God bless Bret for keeping his answers though -- I didn't even think about doing that. His articles are a great read.

I didn't keep my answers from last year either but after reading those articles I decided I was going to keep them this time.

Two of the questions were very similar to last year's, but the third question was different.

I did mention the DIS and another site I like, as well as being DVC members, and how I am planning 2 Disney cruises for 2009.

Gosh you guys...I think my answers may have been way too brief now. :scared: I didn't keep my replies either, but can tell you I only used about 50 words for each question. Darn!

Ok I broke down and applied. How fun!!! I didnt think I was qualified but what the heck I love Disney.

count me in!
i applied as well
heres keepin my fingers crossed one us us makes it

I applied, if I make it great. If not that is ok because at least I threw my hat in the ring :)

Ditto for me, cobbler. I have to wonder - do they pretty much disqualify you right off the bat if you're not actually a mom? :confused3

I wouldn't think so since Bret is on this year's panel and he's a "dad"!

I threw my hat in the ring too. I really hope this works 'cause next year I won't be able to apply because I won't have been there in the last 12 months. :sad1: Oh well, good luck to everyone else!:thumbsup2

I think maybe Pschnebs is asking because he/she doesn't have kids? I don't have kids so I didn't apply. I figured those would probably be tossed out even though I didn't see anything about it in the rules.

But how does this work for you guys- does the public get to vote at some point in the contest or is it all just chosen by Disney? I would love to support the Disers if I can!

heck you never know. I have a cousin who is like a second mom to us. She has no kids of her own, but she travels with us quite a bit. I think there are lots of unique circumstances that can always be considered. I don't think there is a blueprint to a 'family' these days. It can't hurt to try, all they can say is no! ;)

I am a new mom with a 10 month old, but i still went for it. I have lots of experience travelling with other kiddos in the family etc.
