Who all applied for the WDW Mom's Panel today? Let's get a DISer on the Panel!!!

I applied yesterday as well. I didn't agonize over the questions, but 100 words if tough for a "talker". And actually when you think about it 16 out of 20,000 aren't bad odds -- you just don't know what Disney is looking for.

I really dont have the time to be a good panel mom right now so I didnt apply but I wish all my fellow DISers luck. I hope we have a few of you girls on the panel.:thumbsup2

I applied last year and really want to apply again, but my next vacation is in November!! So, that means I do not fit the "been in the last 12 months" category right? Is it 12 months from Sept 9th? or 12 months from when??:confused3 I am so sad!!:sad2:

What is the "Been in the last 12 months category?" They didn't ask me when my last trip was or anything. Did I miss something I was supposed to include in my answers?

One of the criteria for being a panelist is you have to of visited WDW within the last 12 months.

Yup! Got my app in yesterday too! :thumbsup2
I think 16 in 20,000 is awful odds, but hey, you gotta be in it to win it. Wasn't last years' limit 10,000? So it'll be twice as much competition for us all this year! Although last year they sent all us rejects some nice consolation prizes! The folder with the car magnet, 2 pins for our lanyards, a mousepad and some other stationary items. That, to me, was awesome and I was so happy to receive those gifts. I really felt special opening that package and my kids got a great kick out of it. Here's to hoping they do the same this year :wizard:

But where did they ask you that? I logged in, it took me to a page with the three 100 word essay questions, then I hit submit and it said my application was accepted, I didn't fill out any other questions or tell them when my last trip was. Did I miss a page?

that's also all i saw...:confused3

I sat at my computer yesterday morning waiting for the clock to turn!! :lmao:

Sent my application and now am just waiting, wondering and playing the "what if?" game!

Good Lucj & Pixie Dust to all of us!

It didn't ask it anywhere ... it was just listed as one of the criteria on the main page before hitting the link for the application process. I'm thinking that Disney will just verify this with their "all knowing" computer system! ;) Or maybe ask about it in the 2nd round? :confused3

Thanks for the reminder! I applied last year, no luck. Perhaps this is the year, I wish I had more that 100 words per section, it was hard to keep it to that limit.

Ok. This is completely ridiculous, but I just submitted my application and now I am totally nervous!

I absolutely LOVE Disney. I don't think that can even be debated. But on the other hand, I know that there are many others (especially on this board) that know many more details about Disney than I do.

For people who make it to the next round (or even the finals), do they have to take intense trivia tests? Or do they accept people who are passionate and willing to learn more? Inquiring minds want to know.:scared:

That's right. I'll find the list and post it.

No trivia. The second round is more questions, the third and final round is a personal phone interview. After that, the first panel went to WDW for a training session for a few days to familiarize themselves with the process and Disney's systems. They also did some filming for the web and had pictures taken for their bios.

What types of questions?:confused3

The 'visited WDW' criteria was listed on the criteria page, separate from the questions. How they will verify, I don't know, especially if you stayed off site, but I assume they could track ticket purchases?
