Whitewater Snacks?

Can non DLR hotel guests eat at Whitewater Snacks? If the private entry is only for DLR guests, are off site guests expected to walk out the front entrance of DCA, through Downtown Disney, throught the front entrance of GCH and through the hotel to get there?

Anyone can eat there and you can get there through the entrance near Grizzly River Rapids!

WWS is open to anyone and all welcome to exit DCA through the GCH. Furthermore, I don't recall ever having my hotel guest status checked when I used the GCH entrance into DCA.

I've had my id checked, but only first thing in the morning - within the first hour after DCA opens. Otherwise I've used that entrance lots of times, even when I'm not a hotel guest, and never been asked for resort id. Disney realizes that people go to the GC to eat at the restaurants, and the "private" entrance is by far the shortest way back to the park!
