Kind of a weird question, but... in hotel rooms we will either run the air conditioner on "fan" or if there is a fan in the bathroom we will run that, to create "white noise" to drown out other noises. Can I do this in my stateroom? Is there an air conditioner control or fan in the bathroom? Being some what of a light sleeper, I worry about these things. :teeth: THANKS!

I brought my own white noise machine....there was nothing in the room "noisy" enough for me to use as white noise so I am glad I packed mine. I just bought one that has an alarm clock, white noise and it also has a light that shines the time onto the ceiling to use as a night light so I will be packing that for sure!

there isnt a fan but you can buy a little fan at walmart and plug it in an outlet in the room and it will drown out the sounds. I cant sleep with out a fan so i bring my little fan onboard all the time. :)

I am the same way---I believe I tuned in the TV to a station that didn't work. My first choice on the first night ended up with something in the morning. But I think I found one that worked for the rest of the cruise.

I agree with aprilgail2 - get your own white noise machine, especially if you travel a lot. I bought one for my in-laws and they are so glad I did. It has the alarm clock and a flashlight too. They take it everywhere with them. I can't remember where I got it but it wasn't that expensive - less than $50.

Mine was 29.00 in Bed Bath and Beyond! I just picked up another for my mom at home!

Sharper Image has white noise machines too, and you might be able to find a coupon online. I have a great little portable one that I use on cruises. Besides drowning out outside sounds, it is a marriage saver when you have a snoring husband.
