White Hall Patio

For anyone who has had their reception at the White Hall Patio at the Grand Floridian, how well can you see the Magic Kingdom fireworks? Is the Monorail loud and distracting since its basically right above the patio?

I was in a room at the GF right next to the monorail track—closer to it than the the Whitehall Room Patio is—on Tuesday, and the monorail is not noisy at all. It's electric, so it just kind of whooshes and hums. If anything, it's very exciting to see one go by!

As for the fireworks, you can only see the high ones, but they are big enough that they show up in photos—you just have the monorail track between you and them. A few people have posted photos of their events on the patio during Wishes, so a board search should turn up some good reference shots.

We had our VR reception in the White Hall room and patio. Carrie is right, the monorail makes a sort of whoosh sound and isn't loud at all. We watched Wishes from the patio with our guests and we all thought the view was great! You can have the music piped in for around $800 or do what we did. Our DJ played the Wishes music and had speakers outside on the patio. it was perfect, one of our favorite moments of the night. If you click on my TR in my signature and you can see a picture. This is what we are doing. We will be watching the fireworks from the Whitehall Patio. We also bought the Wishes soundtrack and will be having our DJ play it while the fireworks are going on. I'm looking forward to it. As for the Monorail, I think that just adds to the Disney Magic.

Was the wishes soundtrack in sync with the fireworks?

In Sync... would not be possible with a DJ playing it. We can approximate it, but the only way to have it completely in sync is to pipe it in from the actual show.
