Whispering Canyon???

Would whispering canyon be a good choice for DS 6th Birthday Dinner? We have never been and I would like to have something like happy birthday sung to him. Will they do that?

Had dinner there two weeks ago. Went there last year and loved it so we went back this year. Of course they will sing happy birthday to your boy. In fact, the whole restaurant joins in. When you show up for your reservation -- you DO have a reservation, of course, right??? When you show up, just tell the host (likely they will already know) that you are celebrating a birthday. THey will check to make sure they know who, and voila! All due fuss is made for your child. It's cool.

And when you go to Whispering Canyon, you have to be sure to ask the wait person for the ketchup, even if you have no use for it. Bottle after bottle will materialize from different tables just for you. It's pretty cool, and the kids just dig it. There are horse races around the restaurant while the grown ups whirl their napkins in the air. Stick ponies are provided by the restaurant for all the kids.

But the best part -- for a meat lover -- is the all you can eat special they run. Three kinds of beef, corn on the cob, corn bread, chicken. AWESOME.

Whispering Canyon is a great place for kids. It's a great place for families. Make reservations now.

We took our DD to Whispering Canyon Cafe for her 11th birthday. She had a BLAST. There was one other boy who was also celebrating his birthday (he was around the same age as my daughter) and the CM had them come up to the front of the restaurant and ride the stick ponies all around (just them 2) while the restaurant sang happy birthday to them. Then they made them ride again signing "Happy Birthday to Me" really loud while the whole restaurant watched quietly . It was hysterical!!!!

I would agree with all the above comments. I'm just back from a trip last week and we had a supper there and it was probably our favorite place we ate at. Very high energy! Our waitress was great and she paid a lot of attention to our two kids who both had birthday. Everyone in the restaurant will be aware of your birthday!

As it was mentioned before, make sure you ask for ketchup!

We love this place and we don't even have kids. But we can never stop laughing at all the craziness that goes on here. Definately go, and I hope you don't mind noise.

Noise?!?! I have a DS5 I live in noise!

Just make sure that they seat you in the main dining room. We were seated outside the main dining room.....literally in the last table and we weren't able to take advantage of any of the antics.
