:confused3 I made a 6pm dinner ADR for Whispering Canyon on the day we are going to animal kingdom- which closes at 7pm that day. We are staying at BCV. We have never eaten there and would like to try it for the atmoshphere for the kids 2 boys ages 10 and 13). I was wondering how is the food other than the all you can eat skillet. We are using the dining Plan. Is it worth the trip from Animal Kingdom then to BCV as we are using Disney transportation?

We ate there last Thursday and it was the highlight of our trip with diners from 5-65 years old. The regular menu was great, I was the only adult to have the skillet which was very good. H had nachos, steak and chocolate cake and was very happy. GM had salad, pork chops and apple pie and SIL had steak and all loved it. Ask for Brittany if she is available. She was great!! Tell her Sarah says "hi!" Great atmosphere and ALOT of fun for all! Don't forget to ask for Ketchup.

Easiest way to visit is to take bus to MK then boat to WL. The boat is right outside the gate to the MK and clearly marked. It is a nice relaxing ride and has great views of MK and 7 Seas Lagoon. Be sure to get there 15-20 minutes before your reservations. We were 30 minutes late because we just missed the boat and they still seated us quickly.

Also, if you get to AK early in the day, you will not need all day to see the park. use the fast pass and you can see everything by 3pm

We ate here in Jan, & the food was good. We all had the skillet, my DS loved the ribs. I also had the Smores dessert & it was pretty good.

We have eaten here in the past. Actually it is a custom for us to have dinner here our first night at Disney! We will actually be there a week from Saturday! Can't wait!!!!

We ate there last year for my husbands B-day. We had the skillet and it was delicious. I am not even a big meat eater usually, but that pulled pork was "Wow!" My carniverous side came out at that meal! :lmao: Needless to say I over ate at that one! I was full for most of the next day!
The atmosphere is very loud, but entertaining! They made all of the men get up and dance and sing "My little Buttercup." That was pretty funny!
I know we will be going back, for sure!

We really enjoyed the food. We all had the skillet and everyhitng was yummy except the ribs which we didn't care for. For dessert, DH had the S'Mores dessert and declared it "wierd". i tasted it and he was right - Yuck! I had the apple pie alamode and it was divine. The kids had the kids desserts and enjoyed them.

Overall a fun dinner with good food.

It is definetly worth it to go !!! We love it the food was great and it was really fun we went for DH's birthday and they really made him feel special!!!

We had a great time there in January. (There's a video on our trip's website, if you want a sneak peek.) I highly recommend it!

Love that place! The waiter had fun with our teenage son teasing him about the teenage girls sitting at the table next to ours, very fun. :teeth:

Bicker, I loved the "zone of security" around the little girl at the end of the table! Been there, done that.....

We have eaten there every trip for the last several years and love it. We find the food to be good and the entertainment even better. With 2 kids, I think you should go for it. Make sure to try their ketchup!!

We went there and we loved it. We did get the skillet and have to agree with other posters, pulled pork oh so yummy the ribs were ok. We also over ate while there. Amazing place cant wait to go back!

Whispering Canyon is our family's favorite restaurant. I always get the skillet. DW usually orders something else off the menu. Last time, I think she ordered the Pork Chops and said they were great. :thumbsup2

Have fun!!

We ate there for lunch. The food was very good, but there wasn't any entertainment. I was disappointed as I had told DH how much fun this place was supposed to be. I even cancelled 50's Prime Time so we could go there.

We are planning to go for lunch. We've never been there, but have heard such good things about it from the boards so we decided to try it. I want to have "fun", so if lunch is "boring", then maybe I should try to make it one of our dinner places. We are going to have such a fun crowd with us this trip and it's also someone's birthday in our group, I want it to be a "fun, happening" place. Help me decide, lunch or dinner.

We have eaten there for lunch and dinner....wonderful..fantastic...fun..my girls were 13 last year when we went and as always we had a blast!!! On the DDP you absolutely get you money's worth. I think we would have had a $225 bill without the plan!!!
We always go there on every trip....don't miss out on this restuarant!!!!
P.S. Be sure to say you are REALLY thirsty and want a BIG glass of water!!!! :rotfl2:
