Sounds like this may be one of the things that would spoil the adventure if too much information is given. But could someone explain what it's all about without giving it away. I have read just enough on the boards to be really curious, but would love to know a little more about what goes on. Just want to know enough to decide if we want to try it while we are there in September. Thanks for the info.

It's a blast...go and enjoy....and don't for get to bring your silly side.....:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

We could tell you but then.... well you know the rest.

Lunch and dinner is more fun than breakfast, I dont think eveyone is fully awaken then.

Lots of fun and a good place for kids

You really should go in there with the attitude that this is a regular place to eat and nothing happens. It is not really a themed party or anything like that. There are more than a few of the CM's at WC that do not do anything but wait on tables like any other waiter would. A few CM's do put on a "show" or interact with the guest. Lots of guest think that they are supposed to get entertained at WC. They report back here that they did not, and that their CM's was terrible. The CM's are only supposed to wait on you, not act silly. If you get a silly one, then it is a bonus for you. The management ot WC allows their CM's to act silly with guest, but it is not a requirement to do so to work there.

Also, the CM's that do the gags can not do them for everyone. They may do the ketchup routine once ot twice during your dinner. It would be stupid if they did it for everyone, and would not be funny. If a gag has already happend, don't try to ask for it. Try to egg them on with something else.

There are too many post here of guest see the ketchup gag at the table next to them, and then they ask for some, only to get a bottle. They become upset and offended. That is not how gags work. it is supposed to be unexpected.

It is a great place, and 1 of my favorites. I think the nachos are the best in WDW. The people that give it bad reviews for the most part is because the expected to have practical jokes played on them and did not get it. they lacked the sence of humor to enjoy it played on another table but not their own. They do not understand how practical jokes work.

There is also many things that happen for the whole restaurant to take part in. So no one can usually say that there was nothing fun taking place, because they could have participated in the song, or whatever it is.

PS...the larger pic in my signature is us with our Whispering Canyon waiter....Bobby the Kid...he is the best.....

we liked it although a lot depends on your server...i am happy to sit back and let others get humiliated(:) ) but our breakfast server seemed to read that and not be overbearing just a little joking, dinner server was pretty sedate and hubby , who is not shy and retiring, would probably have enjoyed a little more "tomfoolery"(in kidding with the type of wc lingo) the food was good when we were there( pork chops were fantastic, not something i normally order but were great)..it is noisy though so don't go expecting a quiet meal or you will hate it or down time after parks getting the kids to unwind before bed, it ain't the right place for that!

My family would have a blast with this. :D

How is the food? Yummy or no? Portion size?

the food was fantastic. My kids ordered from child's menu while teen daughter ordered ribs and my DH and I had the famous skillet meal. Large amounts of delicious food and large drinks.

This was our favorite and most memorable meal. Can't wait to do it again!

my husband was not crazy about the dinner skillet probably because he was craving my pork chops! my chops were giant (2!)and came with yukon gold mashed and something else(?) they were enormous! i could only stuff down one.

the breakfast skillet on the onther hand is almost as good a deal as trail's end( beverages aren't included but enmtertainment is!) the waffles and breakfast bread are great, hubby liked the sausage gravy the rest is usual breakfast fare.
