Hi,
We've never done Whispering Canyon Cafe, but are considering trying it for our upcoming trip. How does the ordering work though? I read somewhere that the All you care to enjoy skillet is a certain price for 2 people. if only 1 person in our party wants this, could they order it as a single person/credit? We'll be on the dining plan, but I think only 1 person is going to want the skillet, so just trying to figure out how/if that'll work.

TIA!

Disney shows pricing for 1 person as $29.99 for an "individual". Looks like it should not be a problem.

What they will do in those cases is bring out a smaller version of the skillet. The person may have to reorder what they like a little more often but it is all very good. Whispering Canyon is one of our absolute favorites for breakfast and dinner. The food is really good! When you re-order you can either ask for the whole thing again or only what you want out of it (for example, we love Mickey Waffles and the sausage so we typically re-order those).

When we were there DH & I each had an individual skillet. It 'has' been quite some time though, and we have no intentions to return. Everything was very greasy - could have just been an 'off' day, but even so, doesn't appeal to us to try again.

My husband and I had a nice lunch at Whispering Canyon last year. We weren't sure how to handle the skillet.

We did as the waitress suggested. One ordered the skillet, the other ordered an entree salad. The salad came first, we shared it and it was delicious. Then came the skillet and two plates. We shared and ordered seconds, maybe thirds on some items. The sharing of the skillet could only happen if the other person ordered the entree salad. It was a very good meal and dinner was very light.

I would say that you are a very fortunate individual with a server that really did accommodate you with a healthy dose of pixie dust. The skillet is priced per individual and is not for sharing. Good for you two. :thumbsup2 However, I wouldn't advise someone to expect to be able to share the skillet even if ordering another entree from the menu.

It could only be done if we were both ordering full entrees, not a smaller side salad. It is sort of like if we were both tasting off each other's plates, we do that often. But she really did say that we could keep ordering more of the items from the skillet. Wonder if it really was pixie dust. Maybe we'll try it next week.
