Anyone have opinions on breakfast at either place. They both have banana bread french toast that sounds really good, and would also like a savory option. Have reservations at Kona the day before. Staying at POR and going to DHS that day, so Olivia's is more convenient, but thought whispering canyon more fun, and possibly better savory option. Which would you choose and why?

I would like to know too. Ive heard Olivia's is really good and Ive been to WC 2 times but only for dinner. I was thinking of doing it for breakfast for my up coming trip but I was told they aren't as interactive as dinner time.

If you want your senses assaulted by the "antics"--choose Whispering.

If you want a nice, normal breakfast--choose Olivias.

Voted for Olivias because I don't care for the "fun" at WCC. The food quality at Olivias is better.

I would choose based on your plans for the day and/or where you are staying. In other words, go with the restaurant that is more convenient to where you are and where you are going that day.

My understanding is that the WC antics are toned way down at breakfast so I would not let that be a big factor.

Whispering Canyon is one of our favorite places for breakfast. As someone mentioned, and I can verify, the antics are way calmed down at breakfast. They still do the ketchup thing (where they make a big deal when you ask for ketchup and whoever had it last has to bring it over to you) but it is quite tame compared to lunch or dinner. Some of the servers get a little witty with you (part of the deal) but I find it helps me wake up lol. Most of the time though it is a pretty relaxing place for breakfast.

As PPs have mentioned, the antics are simmered down at breakfast at WCC. Much more mellow in the morning. If you're hesitant to try WCC because of the antics, breakfast would be a good meal for you. It's also all you can eat if you order the skillet. We've only had dinner here which has been very good, and it's great overlooking the WL lobby while you eat. Also staying at POR means MK is the quickest park to get to, so you can fairly easily transfer over to WL.

Will you have a car? If not, Olivia's is really not that convenient. Boats are few and far between that time of morning and I think you'd have to transfer at DTD which would add to the commute. I don't know that Olivia's is worth going out of the way for - food I've read is good, but the menu is a la carte and it's one of the few dining options at OKW which means it could be busy. The Dis Unplugged podcast did a review of OKW recently and ate at Olivia's, and had negative feedback regarding the service and how slow they were to be seated.

On another note, since you'll be going to DHS that day, have you considered Cape May at BC? It's more convenient to DHS and we enjoy it. IMO, both Olivia's and WCC are pretty out of the way for a DHS day.
