Whispering Canyon for Lunch?

We've never been to WCC but are planning to go this upcoming trip in mid-Feb. We are NOT doing any Disney this trip (Universal), so going out there is a shlep and the primary reasoning is the bottomless milkshakes and the shenanigans/fun for the kids. I've heard from a few sources that lunch is not as "fun" and interactive/shenanigan-y as breakfast/lunch. I like the lunch prices a lot better, though. If going during prime fun time is important, is lunch okay, or would we be getting short-changed on the 'experience' of the place?

We went for lunch & there was playing around & the food is good.

It's the same goofy stuff at every meal. Enjoy!

We were there for a late lunch and it was very mellow and kind of disappointing to be honest. The food was good and the service was really good. Their was no goofy stuff or playing around. We were on of the last tables there so that is what i am going to chalk it up to but still. I am debating about going to give it another try around dinner time to see if it is any better.

We went for lunch on the 31st December and the atmosphere was lacking. The food was ok but nothing about the experience made it anything different from any other restaurant. Our booking was right when it opened and there remained many empty tables while we were having lunch. I think the more people and the longer your meal the better chance you will have for fun to happen. I think I would try it again but would try it at dinner.

I have been there at all meal time and felt that dinner was the best atmosphere because there were more people and in turn more playing around with the kids

My wife and I love eating here. If antics are on the low side we try to get things going a bit by interacting with our server. We have been told that Principle Character on the wait staff MT is only there for breakfast and lunch so if you can do that antics can be better

My family also ate lunch and dinner at WCC last April. Lunch was very laid back and kind of empty for lunchtime during Easter week. Dinner on the other hand, was loud and boisterous in such a good way. If you are looking for antics and atmosphere, I would suggest dinner.
