I don't think the food is great. However The entertainment is just silly fun. We are the type of family that interacts and talks to anyone. No shy kids around here. Prime Time Cafe is our favorite on property, so WWC is another source of entertainment to us.

When we went we felt like the food was just so/so and our kids are pretty shy, so we won't be returning. However, the adults felt it was fun! Maybe when our kiddos get older we'll try again! And I don't think they went too far. Once they saw that our kids were truly unnerved, they laid off us and let us just be spectators.

When we were there (June '07), there was a group of about 8 adults together at a back corner table, with no kids. The servers were treating them very special, no silliness but very nice and cordial. It turns out that they were celebrating a 50th wedding anniversary at WCC! Seemed like an odd choice to me, but they clearly enjoyed sitting back and watching all the fun around them without being dragged into it. Then the servers made a special announcement for them and the entire restaurant applauded. It was very nicely done.

So I guess my point is, tell your server if you don't want the craziness at your table. We had a totally rowdy time (got 16 ketchup bottles!) and we were across the aisle from the group in the corner having a quiet dinner. WCC can do it both ways.

We loved it and we'll be back in August.

We have never been for dinner (only breakfast) - but from what I have read, your server can make or break your experience.

I went Sept 06 for a late lunch. The food was fine, but I was a bit disappointed in the antics. The restaurant was half empty and I felt we were placed at a table away from other guests. Our server was nice, but didn't seem to get into the role at all. I specifically chose the restaurant for the antics and didn't get any. Now I'm afraid to try a place like 50s Prime Time because I've heard not all servers get into it there either.

I've never been, mostly because it doesn't sound like my cup of tea. I get plenty of stimulation in the parks; I like my meals to be more peaceful. Besides, the food doesn't seem that great for a vegetarian.

We have eaten lunch at WCC every visit for years. We love the fun atmosphere and the good food. Enjoy

We went in June and loved it! The food was awesome. My four and 5 year old did the pony ride around the restaurant. We are kinda shy, and didn't feel uncomfortable at all even when everyone there brought us there ketchup bottles!! Picky DH LOVED THE RIBS!!!

We went for dinner our last trip and it was AWESOME! We had an ADR at the opening (5pm), so that may have made the antics livelier. We loved it so much we returned for breakfast later in the week.

The antics weren't as extensive as the dinner, but our server was still animated and made it lots of fun. I had heard that breakfast and lunch tend to be 'lower' key.

We're returning next month to kick off a celebration week for my parent's 50th. Its not the 'formal' anniversary dinner (which is later in the week), but it will be a great way to start off the trip. No one but the four in my family have been to WCC, so it will be great fun to see them react. I have a BIL who LOVES this sort of joking around and I know he'll play along like a champ.

We had a great time, they didn't go over the top at all! They could have done more and my kids would have been happy.

It's all about personality and if you enjoy being in the thick of things. My father loves people and interraction and so when my parents would come to visit I always made sure to take him to WCC. It's not a place I would have ever gone by myself because I don't like suddenly being the center of attention.

We think the food is ok, love the pulled pork. The atmosphere is great. We were there for our daughter's 16th birthday and we thought we'd get her good. We told our server on the sly that it was her birthday. A little later, they came over to our table and announced that it was her birthday and they had something special for her. Imagine our surprise when they made my wife and I get up and ride the wooden horses around the entire dining room singing Happy Birthday to her. Did that ever backfire. :rotfl:

I am new to the board and have never been to WDW, but have heard ketchup bottles mentioned before, LOL! Can someone explain??

I went recently for lunch & they weren't very loud or crazy- I was a little disappointed by that. However, I did try the skillet lunch & it was AWESOME! I want to go back in December to see the lodge & each more yummy bbq.

I think they are more fun than going too far. In fact, they will kind of leave you alone if you are not enjoying it.

Much of it is just dumb luck as to who happens to be your server. Some are just naturally funny without working too hard and others have to be a little over the top because they just are not that funny.

Overall, we like the food and have had good experiences there!

We arrived at 8:10pm for our 8:30 adr and were finally seated at 9:30:scared1: We were told it was because everyone was done with their meals, but were sticking around for the enterainment. Have fun, but then get out and let the rest of us in, PLEASE!

We didn't get a good server. She was pleasant enough- but not any fun at all. She didn't make any jokes, say anything funny, or do anything funny. Dh kept drinking his cokes down really quick and asking for refills, and she kept bringing standard size refills.

We were there for our anniversary wearing our buttons.
We rode the stick ponys around the lobby singing You Are My Sunshine.
My wife made a comment after dinner that she could use a toothpic and she was brought a log from the wood pile.

The pulled pork was great!!!
