I am getting ready to book my September ADR's. Here is what I have so far:

Chef Mickeys
Crystal Palace- Breakfast
Liberty Tree
Coral Reef
Biergarten Restaurant
Le Cellier Steakhouse
Chefs de France

I need one more. So what do you think??? Thanks!!

I would pick Whispering Canyon especially if you have kids, it's fun! Hollywood and Vine's food is good~ but it's just a buffet.

We have 2 kids. They will be 5 and 2 1/2 when we go. What do they do fun at Whispering Canyon?? Can you take the ferry from MK to get there??

That's how we got there. The whole atmosphere is fun, the servers are "loud" and kid around, if someone asks for ketchup everyone starts saying "ketchup" and you might end up with 5 bottles from the other tables. The night we were there they had the little kids get up and ride wooden horses around and all the people had to stand up and wave there napkins! It was fun and you don't have to worry about your kids being too noisy!

Yes, you can take the ferry from the MK to the WL. I also would take WC over H & V as they bring you your food in a skillet @ WC as opposed to the buffet where I tend to be a bit leary with so many people touching the serving utensils.

Hi we have a 5 years old son and we preffer HW for lunch with the characters of Litle einsteins and JoJo, the food is goood and the place is very nice, we always prefer this restaurant over WC because you not depend of your server to have fun (it coud be a hit or miss depend of the server) no matter what will be your desicion Have a magical vacationnnnnn

Another vote for WC. Yummy food and plenty of it.

Also where else can you see grown men twirling about while being seranaded?

We love Whispering Canyon! Great food (simple but always good), great service, fun atmosphere! We go at least once every trip to Disney.

Would you give up your Fantasmic Package to eat at WC? We are going at slow time of the year, after Labor Day. Last year we did the package at Mama Melrose, but we did not really need it because it did not get too crowded. I think we would be able to just get there early to get a seat. I would rather eat at WC, but that would mean no Fantasmic Package. What do you think???

Skip the package... we have done the package at Mama Melrose and we really were unhappy with the place.... We love WC!

We did not like Mama Melrose either, so we were going to try H&V. Then I read all the good reviews about Whispering Canyon so I thought we would try there. But we would have to just stand in the regular line for Fantamic!!

Are you going to be leaving the Park Formerly Known as MGM to go to WC and then returning to get in line for Fantasmic?

Might be pushing it a little. If I remember correctly from a Labor Day week trip a few years ago, the shows were early. If your ressie is earlyish at WC, may not be much of a problem.

If you get to the park bus stop just as one arrives and get the same luck on turn around, no biggie. If you watch the bus pulling away from the park as you walk to the stop and have to wait another 15-20 mins for the next one and the same happens on the way back, might be more of an issue.

WC is the most fun if you have time to linger. You'll miss some of the fun if you're checking the time and wolfing down your food.

Both of these restaurants are great, but at a push I'd choose WC because of the atmosphere.

No, We would not go from MGM to Whispering Canyon. We would do that a night we were in MK. We would just do 2 CS at MGM, I mean Hollywood Studios. That way, we would save a TS for Whispering Canyon. I am just trying to decide which one we want to do. I think I decided to skip the fantasmic package and just get there early to get seats. Then we can eat at WC!!! Everyone says great things about it!!!

Another vote for WC - I didn't care for H&V (which we did last year as part of F! package).

I don't care for either of those choices. I know Whispering Canyon gets a lot of raves, but our family didn't care for the Wild West Spoof-even our 5 year old son...we'll never go back.

Hollywood and Vine is just blah imho....sorry!! I'd keep looking.
