Ive heard that this resort is beautiful at Xmas so my question is, whats the food like? It seems reasonably priced too !! Which meal would be better breakfast, lunch or dinner ? Opinions? Thanks

I love WL and it's theming and having been there for Christmas 2009, I can tell you the abiance is incredible; I will return again for Christmas there when the opportunity presents itself again.

As for WCC, there are many mixed reviews of this restaurant but I personally enjoy it and go there every time we are back in WDW. I enjoy the endless skillet myself; it is an excellent value for the price and I have found it to be very good. As for which meal? I am not a big breakfast eater so I usually just get a bagle and juice. If you are on the DDP I think you get much more bang for your buck using it for dinners instead of breakfast and lunch. However, there are some who like to use some of the dining credits on character breakfasts if they have kids.

Enjoy the WL for Christmas, you will love it:thumbsup2

Just to be clear, WCC does NOT have characters for breakfast (or any other meal, for that matter).

I don't think PP meant to imply that they do have characters.

We are not on the dining plan and yes the skillet looks like great value. Ill wait and see some other opinions. I was thinking of lunch but dinner is tempting because i bet the resort looks fabulous at night !

We tried it last time, there was 9 of us and we had a great time:banana:

Some had the skillet and others just ordered off the menu.

Our server was so much fun and included us in all the shenanigans:thumbsup2

We are not going back this time only because this is our grandkids first visit and there were just too many other places to bring them that we haven't tried yet:wizard:

I think you should try it at least once to see for yourself:woohoo:

Thanks for clarifying that up for the op; your right I wasn't implying but after reading my post it was a bit unclear. ;)

WCC is my DH's favorite restaurant. He loves the skillet, the interaction with the servers and the atmosphere....he is a big kid....;)

Now with that said, you will find many many people who do not like this place or a couple others. But what I say is if the menu appeals to you go and see for yourself. That is the only way to know for sure.
When I make my ressies I always stay away from the restaurant boards for a bit, so they don't sway me one way or another. If I would've listened to peoples opinions I would've missed out on some pretty good food and fabulous places!!!

Have fun and enjoy your trip!

I completely agree with this. Count me as one who does not care for WCC. I just did not enjoy it at all. But that is just me, and just my opinion, and obviously it's a very busy restaurant and well loved by many, so if it (or ANY restaurant) appeals to you, then you should give it a chance. Never let me, or the opinions of anybody, sway you.

My family, for example, loves San Angel Inn, which is much criticized on this board, and one of our favorites is Ohana, which is similarly polarizing. Many people find the service to be bad, but we've found it to be great. So I recommend collecting and considering the opinions of others, but then go with your own gut and have fun!

Ah yes, two of my favorites that I almost didn't book because of DIS reviews. In fact I did cancel San Angel Inn and rescheduled at the last minute. :thumbsup2

We ate there only for breakfast, but it was really good. There was plenty of variety & everyone found something they liked. We went there twice during our trip last week. My family wasn't into all the funny pranks but the server seemed to sense this and mostly left us alone :)
