Are the CMs as animated at lunch at WC? My kids had a blast at dinner, and it's a must-do for our next trip. I'm thinking of having a late lunch there right before we head over to MNSSHP.

On our last trip we went for a late lunch around 2:30 and the restaraunt was pretty empty. Our waitress was fun and the others seemed to be trying to engage guests, but there wasn't a lot of energy in the restaraunt like there seems to be at dinner. You never know though, it could have been a slow day. I think the servers also gauge their level of wackiness off of you, so if you're having a good time and seem to be open to the crazy antics they might just step it up for you. Hope you have a good time!

That's exactly what we did last fall. We went to WCC for a late lunch before arriving at MK for MNSSHP at 4:00. There weren't a lot of people in there, but we had a great waitress--very animated!!! We are kind of a quite family, so it worked out great for us. We had a fun time without worrying about being embarrassed in front of a whole room of people. You can always request an animated server.

We went to WCC for a late lunch, and it was pretty much empty, and nothing fun or exciting was done. I was disappointed, but the food was pretty good. If we go again, I will definitely book for dinner.

Thanks for the responses. What if we went right AT lunchtime--like between 12 and 1? Think there would be more people/more interaction then? My kids loved having everyone deliver the ketchup & the activities; don't think we want to go if there's a chance we'd miss out on the atmosphere. (FYI--we'll be there after free dining, the week of Columbus Day)

Not much going on at lunch. :sad2: We went last June at 12pm and saw none of the famous antics, pony rides, etc... Our waitress was fun, but that's it. It's not at all loud. I spoke with a Dining CM that said Breakfast and Dinner is when they really go all out. I never would have thought for breakfast, I would have expected breakfast to be tame and lunch to be fun. The CM said breakfast is a real hoot!

If your going for the food, lunch is fine. If you want the whole dining experience, then go for breakfast or dinner.

We went for lunch in Dec at about 2:00 and it was pretty full. All the antics & pony rides were going on. Our server was great...I guess it depends on the day or the time of year?? We really enjoyed it. ;)

DisneyStarWisher - Funny, that's exactly what I was thinking about doing in October. We're going to MNSSHP on Thursday, October 8th. We haven't nailed down the plans yet, but right now I'm thinking about spending some time at Universal/IOA earlier that day and then hitting the MK around 4-5:00 p.m. I had considered a late lunch at WCC and was wondering the same thing as the OP.

We've had dinner at WCC twice and had a great experience both times. Wonder how much fun it would be at lunch for a "not-so-quiet" family (myself excluded, of course)?;)

It didn't even occur to me to do breakfast--thanks. Anyone else have any breakfast experiences to share?
