Which Wyndham resort would you choose?

My DH, my 11 yr old DD and I are trying to book a trip for the 3rd week of October to get to enjoy Disney and Aquatica, but mostly the Food & Wine Festival and MNSSHP at Magic Kingdom. We can get a crazy deal through Wyndham, but unfortunately Bonnet Creek (our 1st choice) is not available. If you had to choose a different Wyndham Orlando area resort, which would you choose and why? Thanks!!!

I would choose Star Island as it has been or shortly will be totally redone. Cypress Palms is okay also but it doesn't seem as "resorty". We have stayed at both and enjoyed both. I would definately ask for a room above the ground floor. We were stuck on the first floor at Star Island once and all we looked out at from our patio were a/c units and they were very noisy.

OIRC is much much closer to Universal than Disney. I would not want to stay there for a Disney-centric vacation.

Between the other two: it does seem that SI is more resort-y than CP. On the other hand, CP is a little more compact and has several chain restaurants and a pharmacy within easy walking distance. Either would be fine, just depends on what you are looking for.

I have stayed at Bonnet Creek, Star Island and Cypress Palms. Since Bonnet Creek is unavailable I would choose Star Island. Star Island has many more amenities than Cypress Palms and has much more of a resort feel to it. Star Island also has restraunts very near it as well as Cypress Palms. Both are very nice but I vote for Star Island over Cypress Palms.
