Which would you pick: POR Mansions or POFQ?

Last poll I promise!! We've almost narrowed it down and we are down to either:

POR Mansions room or
POFQ room

I think I like the decor a little better of the POR Mansions, but the grounds seem so neat at POFQ-like a little town & the fountain is so cute!!

Do you prefer one over the other? Is one resort better? Known for being cleaner, comfier, better atmosphere? We are not concerned with walking distance from buses-we don't mind walking at all. Much more concerned with overall feel, comfort, quietness, cleanliness, "fanciness"

I am just trying to narrow it down between the POR mansions or POFQ-from the photos I've researched, the decor looks very similar. For people who like that "fancy" theming, I had wondered which they prefer between those two.

I chose POR mansions. I have stayed at both but the feel of POR is much better. It seems to be a nicer place. We stayed in Parterre Place in January and it was wonderful. It is so relaxing and calming with the flowers and the river. There was also a fountain close by. I think it will be just what you are looking for.

DH said that is the best resort at WDW and we've stayed at most of the resorts including many of the deluxes. DD16 was more like she lived in the mansion!!! DS17 loved the walkways and the pools! It just felt nicer!!! POFQ was ok, but just not up to the level that the mansions are. POR was clean, the bushes were all trimmed well, we never heard anyone around the room. All the CMs were really nice. That was the most relaxed stay I've had at WDW--and we've been over 50 times!!

Try not to miss the boat ride to DTD. It is also very relaxing.

Thanks!! That was a great review!!! So far, we are leaning towards the MB Mansions!!

Anyone know how easy it is to request a mansion during a value season? Are they traditionally harder to get than the AB rooms or anything? Can you pay extra to be garunteed a mansion as a "preferred location"?

You can always walk over and wander around POFQ if you stay in POR Mansions.

Prefer the food court at POR, like the walking around the grounds. Just feels quieter & more "resort-ish" at POR Mansions to us (and note, we've stayed at POFQ A LOT OF TIMES)

I would pick POR mansions. We stayed at FQ once and it was just o.k.

There is no way to guarantee that you will be in the Mansions. They are considered sister resorts so you could enjoy both.

I personally like POFQ. POR I agree is beautifully themed but it is so big. POFQ is small and almost intimate. No matter what building you are in you are just a couple min from the pool, food court, and bus stops. And it is also quiet. Last time I stayed there I could not believe how quiet it was.

Also POFQ is the first on the bus line to the parks and the first to be dropped off. Though I think for a couple of the parks they have their own bus.

Though honestly...you can't go wrong with either one.

I chose POFQ for my stay...for most of the reason everyone here has posted....and the AAA rate was very appealing!

I love POFQ! It was the first moderate we stayed at and it remains one of our favs. I love the feel of it. It's smaller, and more intimate than POR. When we stayed at POR we stayed in AB, Building #14, close to food court. My DD8 loves the pool at POFQ. Especially the dragon slide.

But either would be great, and you can utilize all areas, at each, since they are sister resorts. Have fun!
