Which Would You Do...AKL or All Star Movies First?

We are going to be spending 3 nights at WDW, then the 4 night cruise and then back to WDW for 2 more nights. We want to stay at both ASMo and AKL. We have been to ASMo in the past and really liked it but we also want to give AKL a try since DS is such a huge animal lover.

Should we do AKL...cruise...then ASMo or ASMo...cruise...AKL?

I would definitely stay at AKL last. We were there in June (only for one night) and I totally fell in love with that hotel. But I'm a huge animal lover.

We only stayed there because we needed to add one night to our trip a week before we left and weren't able to add it to our existing ressie at YC.

I would really like to go back and spend more time at the AKL.

I would go to All Star Movies first. The value resorts seem to be lively and fun. A perfect beginning when you first arrive and are all excited about your vacation. Then to cruise and return to the peacefulness of AKL to relax and enjoy the last few days would make the perfect ending for me.

AKL last, it is the better resort and so will be a nice end to the holiday.

No question at all. Do AKL last!!!!!!!!! I think most people are happier finishing up with the larger and more deluxe resort. Our progression this year was 1 night at All St. Sports (booked on the drive down, I had thought we would stop in Gainesville but we were making great time), then 2 nights at AKL, then 4 at Poly. Actually, we liked AKL best as a resort, but were glad to finish with the convenience of 4 days worth of monorail transport. (Just addded the last sentence so I don't unintentionally start a debate between which is nicer, AKL or Poly.)

I agree..AKL last. NEVER go from a mod or deluxe resort to a value resort in the same stay....you will be too disappointed. Always go up...not down.

IMHO, you can't follow a cruise or a luxury resort with a value resort. I would do the value first (although I prefer POP but that's just me) and then go on the cruise and come back to AKL. Enjoy!

Definitely do ASMo first, then AKL. AKL is much more relaxing and peaceful than ASMo. A really good way to end the trip.

When I split a stay, I aways save the best for last!!! AKL for sure to finish up a great vacation!!! (This will make it harder to go home, though.. )

I would stay All Stars then the Cruise then back to the AKL to relax.
