which would you choose?

hi all,
I'm thinking(very rare for me) about aug or sept.maybe at swan or dolphin.which would you choose and why???also what was your rate per day if you did ever stay there?at any time or month as i might change months to save a little money.one more i can get the special govt rate because i work for thre fd.anyone know what the rate is?i remember hearing is was 10% off is this correct?

Go in September (the week after Labor Day has got to be about the slowest all year) and stay at the Swan - (just a heads up - there will be a big conference Sept 17 - 21.)It will still be very hot but they did have some fantastic rates this September. We walked onto all of the rides in the parks and really had a wonderful time.

My DW and I stayed at the Swan for the first time last Nov. for $139 per night plus tax. We choose Swan over Dolphin because it has about half the number of rooms so we figured it would be half as crowded.

We really enjoyed our stay and just loved the heavenly beds!

And the closeness to Boardwalk is a nice bonus. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again, if we just didn't join DVC
