Cape May Cafe, Whispering Canyon Cafe, or Garden Grill? (leaning more heavily between Whispering Canyon & Garden Grill--read on please :))

I've checked the ratings & they are similar, but G.G. was a tad higher. I'm a little nervous about the preset meal, though. Is it bland food at G.G.? At Whispering Canyon I was afraid the antics might be funny, but get annoying after a bit while you're trying to eat. W/Cape May I'm just worried more about the seafood level--either you do it right or you don't.

We've narrowed down all of our dining, but one dinner reservation spot is left open. A little about us: family of four, we have two girls (age 9 & will be 5 on trip), like character interaction but don't have to have it (we have other meals that are character meals), really like good food.

Thanks so much for the help!!

I'd do Garden Grill- we loved the food and the characters were a nice bonus.

Whispering Canyon got old for us. FAST. We weren't thrilled by the humor but we also don't have little ones.

I would pick cape may or whispering canyon. Never was a big fan of garden grill.

Have you made any of the ADRs yet? Garden Grill is notoriously hard to get, so it may not even be an option.

I've only eaten at WCC. As two adults, we did not receive many of the antics. There was a large party with several kids across from us and they received the big jug of soda and the ketchup thing, but that was the extent. It was very noisy with the kids parading around doing the pony rides, but we never got annoyed. We had a really nice table next to the fireplace, towards the back of the restaurant. My BF loved the skillet as he's a huge BBQ lover. He really wants to go back. Plus it's great to walk around WL.

My vote is for the Whispering Canyon Cafe. Had lunch here on my last trip and it was excellent!! The food was great and so was the service.

Had dinner @ Cape May for the first time on my last trip and won't go back again. The food was disgusting and the service was really bad.

I would choose Cape May, especially on a fried shrimp night - yum.

Enjoy.

:)

Have not eaten at Cape May so can't say. Have eaten at GC and WCC. Really enjoyed both, food was good at either. Character interaction at GC was really good. They came by tables several times during the meal. WCC was an experience! My dgd and the waiter interacted together and she had a really good time. But be prepared for all kinds of antics if you get a really good waiter/waitress. I wound up with straws in my hair and more food than I could eat because I asked for seconds. But watching my dgd watching me look silly was worth the experience!

I would choose WCC also. Wilderness Lodge is absolutely beautiful, the restaurant is fun, and the food is pretty good. I grew up in Arkansas (I see that is where you are from) and WCC is probably the closest you will come to good old comfort food (except maybe 50s Prime Time). We have also done GG and did enjoy it (my DS really like the fact that is revolved through Living with the Land), but if I had to choose, I would choose WCC.

Thanks for everyone's input. We chose WCC. It seemed to be the crowd favorite. Still toying with that decision, because the ratings are a little better for GG. I guess we won't know until we try it ourselves though. Hoping to find a new family favorite!
