Which would you choose: California Grill or Topolino’s?

Cali Grill is special to us, and while I do think it has lost a little bit in recent years, its still pretty good, especially when the fireworks are going. We will definitely choose it for one of our nice meals in December

We have an ADR for the 4th after 9..will they let us up early to watch the fireworks ....Yes I'm pretty sure they will be on :)

We've eaten dinner at both...CG a number of times. While we've had some mediocre food in some of our CG visits, I find their menu to be more interesting and even without fireworks, CG's view is better. So, I'm going to say CG.

For years we ate dinner at California Grill and always enjoyed the service, quality of our meals, and view of MK fireworks in the evening. Then we discovered the California Grill Sunday Brunch. We have not done dinner since but go to the Sunday Brunch each time we visit. This brunch is exceptional. We have only eaten at Topolino's once and it was a brunch time meal. Our meal and service were exceptional.
Brunch is gone. Dinner only now.

I would pick CG out of the two. The food is good at both, but I feel Topolino's is slightly more overpriced for what you get. What I don't like at CG is that the majority of the seating is very loud. At times it can be difficult to have a conversation at your table, even during COVID when the seating was limited. That said, I prefer the menu and the food is almost always prepared on point. I also prefer the location. If you or most of your family love pasta, I would say try Topolino's because their in house made pasta is superb.

I definitely say Topolino's. We've been to both multiple times and the food at Topolino's is just outstanding. One of the best meals on property.

Tough choice... I visited both restaurants both pre and post Covid changes. The sole meuniere at Topolino's is the best meal I have ever had in my life. period. The dining room has a nice feel and is where my fiancé decided to propose in March.... However, i do like the view and ambience of California Grill, but the new menu is seriously lacking. They changed the goat cheese ravioli recipe which made me cry, but I will still go back!

Both are very over priced... we would probably try Topolinos cause we never went there and wasn't to impressed with California Grill last time

How did they change it? $17 for 1 ravioli is a lot, even if it's big. Oh now I see it on the allergy friendly menu for $18....

They changed the recipe. It used to be in a goat cheese sauce and when we went back it had a crispy cheese thing on top. It was not nearly as good. Completely changed the sauce and amazing flavor. I would pay $17 all day for the original recipe. It is small.. but worth it. We asked the waiter- he said they had a new chef who wanted to try new things.

The old vs. the new :( It was ridiculously good. I really hope they change it back! Off topic.. but maybe the chef is on this site LOL

They should; just show them your reservation. It's a spectacular view, even without the fireworks!

Never eaten at TT, bit CG is our number one pick for food quality for dinner right now...everyone loved what they ordered.

Looks like California Grill is winning. On a related topic, what reservation time should I aim for in September if I want to see Fireworks?

Go to a weather website and check when the sun goes down in Orlando, FL🙂.

So essentially it changes to just after sunset throughout the year?
I seem to recall reading that the fireworks begin about an hour after sunset. So if you are going this summer an 8:00 PM, maybe 8:30 PM ADR should allow you to see the fireworks.

We dined at both in April. Both were excellent with very good food and service.
Topolinos has a nice view, but California Grill looks over the MK.
No fireworks to see while we were there. Supposedly, you can see several shows from up there.
Currently, our vote for only one is California Grill, but not by much. Love both of them.
