Which would you cancel? H&V Play & Dine or Garden Grill?

We need to cancel one of these possibly. Which would you cancel if you could only pick one?
H&V Play and Dine Breakfast or Garden Grill Dinner?
Why?

Thaat is an easy question for me - H&V! H&V is the worst meal we have ever had at WDW! I would never return there. Terrible food, terrible service!

I don't know your kids are great ages for what people have said is an awesome breakfast at H&V they say the interaction with characters is great there!

Tough choice! Those, along with CM, are my boys' fave character meals. Best character interaction on-site.

I like the family style aspect of GG - no mom running around - but H&V has more food options if you have a picky child. The best part of H&V is the emcee who runs dancing and singing.

Although I notice you have a 9-year-old and he might find the H&V breakfast pretty young for him (my oldest doesn't but I think he is destined to be a kid at heart forever!). He alone would make me lean toward GG.

I would DEFINITELY cancel H&V over Garden Grill!
But then, Garden Grill is my FAV place to eat in ANY of the parks!
Also, the Playhouse Disney characters just don't do a thing for me, I find most of them annoying, and even my 4 year old really isn't into them. I love the Classic characters MUCH more, and I do believe this is the only Character Meal opportunity for Chip and Dale (could be wrong...)
We love the ambiance of rotating through the Land pavillion, and hearing the noises from down below, especially the rainforest section.

We did both on our last trip and I have to say our FAVORITE Character interaction by far was the Hollywood and Vine! My kids LOVE Little Einstein's though so that helped alot and since they hate to sit still it was great having the dancing. The food while not the best was still fine and there was plenty of options to chose from.(We were there for lunch) The server we had was good, not spectacular but she kept our drinks refilled and table cleared. When I asked my daughter where she wanted to eat this time the one thing she doesn't want to miss is the Little Einstein meal.

With that said I would say our character interaction at The Garden Grill was good too. We had the first lunch reservations and the place was almost empty so I am sure that helped. The food I thought was good but nothing overly exciting. Our server here took forever to get us drinks and food refills! We will be skipping this one on our next visit!

We did both are last trip. Food was ok at H&V but DS4 loved the characters and was totally star struck. Now Ds9 was a bit bored but her knew by us being there first thing, he could get on RNRC first.

Now the whole family loved Garden Grill, the food was good, we were surprised by this given some reviews and both kids loved the character interaction. The characters pent a lot of time wiht the kids and our server was very attentive.

Good luck with you decision.

Have never eaten at H&V but can say we usually eat at Garden Grill when we go to WDW. My boys are getting older and are starting to want to pass on the character dining, but they always listed Garden Grill at the top for 3 reason. 1) Location....the place moves! Boys love that! 2) The characters - very interactive... and 3) The food was really good for the character meals.

Have fun! You can't go wrong either way...I mean, it's Disney! You'll have great pictures!

I actually canceled our ressie for H&V after I posted here asking about it. The responses were so negative, I opted out of it completely. We love the GG though. Love love love it. We're doing it again this year.

My vote is for GG. It is a must everttime I go. I've never done H&V, so I really can't comment. But we love, love,GG.

I have not been to either one, however, I am going to both in October! How old are your kids...maybe they would like the Playhouse Disney Breakfast...HOW CAN ANYONE mess up a breakfast buffet??!! I'm not sure it is possible!?

If you're going just for food...cancel H and V. I agree with the other posters who have said the food is not very good. Food-wise, it was our worst meal on our trip last year.

That said.....we're booked for it again in a few weeks. . My kids LOVED the character interaction here. It was our favorite meal as far as characters go. The characters have the kids get up and dance every 15 minutes and so; it's really cute. Plus they all spent so much time with the kids.

So--if you're going by food only--pick GG. BUT if it's more about the characters --stick with H and V.
