My parents are going with us, staying at WL, mid Jan. 2007. We will be there 6 nights, standard room.
They usually buy annual passes but won't be this trip. DH and I both have annual passes. They will have there own room. Would it be cheaper for them to have us get an AP discount for their room or go with regular room rates with a length of stay pass? If the AP discount is the way to go, what are their options for discounts, if any, for passes? (They would want to be able to park hop, don't need water parks, etc.) Thanks to anyone who can help, we've always had AP's, even them, so I'm out of my comfort zone :confused3

We stayed at WL in a standard room this past January. You can get the AP discount for them if you are staying at the same time. An AP holder can reserve up to 3 rooms with just one pass. I bought one pass, and got rooms for $109 per night for each of us. It was a huge savings; $96 per night discount per room for 7 nights = $1,344 saved. I bought the rest of our tickets through Ticketmania (used the link through the Mousesavers newsletter).

The only catch was that it was hard to get the standard room at a discount (I think WL doesn't have very many standard rooms); I checked back often and finally it was available, right before our trip. We ended up doing a split stay with a standard room at AKL, and that was also $109 per night.
