Which weekend day is most crowded?

Would you say Friday, Sat, or Sunday are the most crowded at Disneyland in May? One of those days will be a 'day off' for us, so trying to choose which day to stay out of the parks... will most likely choose Sat or Sun. But at the same time I want to be able to see all the night time shows. I understand that WOC is showing every night, so will try to do that on a less crowded weeknight. Assuming weather is cooperative, will Fantasmic and the fireworks be typically scheduled on Fri Sat and Sun nights in early May?

Sunday is typically the least-crowded at DL especially in the mornings, but it could depend on which weekend you're going. If it's Mothers' Day, it might get more crowded.

Out of Friday/Saturday, I would venture to guess a Saturday would be more crowded than a Friday on a normal week, but there are probably some better empirical trackers out there to validate that perception.

no, not mother's day, the week before

Saturdays are always the least crowded because of magic key blackouts.

Sunday is second best.

Friday will be the most crowded.
Agreed. Look at MK blackout calendars. Whatever day has the least blackouts, make that your off day. Fridays are often blissfully empty until late afternoon, then crazy at night when the local MK holders flood in.

@OlliePop27 @DLgal thanks this is an awesome tip, I truly never considered that Sat might be least busy! The days in question are Fri- Sun May 5-7. The other factor I'm considering is that Sun the 7 is supposed to be Bats Day or something, a gothic reunion thingy, which I'm personally not at all interested in. Do you think that will make the parks EVEN more busy on the Sunday?

I'm thinking we need 2 weekend nights so we can plan to do fireworks one night and Fantasmic the other. I know it's possible to do both in one night but i'd rather not. Don't really want to watch fireworks from fantasmic location. (or if we do, I still want to try to see from main st another night)

Yes, Bat Day is VERY popular. Skip that day. It will be the most crowded of those 3 days.

It's easy to watch the fireworks and then the second Fantasmic show. Otherwise do them on different days.
