Which week of March for lowest crowds?

We had a great time at the Flower and Garden Festival this year, but late April was a bit warm and we want to avoid early April spring break crowds. Right now we are booked for the last week of March, but I am worried about spring break crowds, especially now that free FastPass has been eliminated. I have young kids who can stand in line for 45 minutes for 1 ride, and the rest of the day can only stand in line 20-30 minutes.

My options are:
1. The last week of March to celebrate my birthday and stay for rundisney Springtime Surprise weekend the first weekend of April

2. The first week of March, but we would be checking in during rundisney Princess weekend and were worried about crowds from that plus opening weekend of Flower and Garden

3. Second week of March, checking in during opening weekend of Flower and Garden

Planning for 3 park days (no HS since the lines are too long). Probably 1.5 days at Epcot, 1 MK, half day at AK.

Will crowds be similar each of these weeks?

We usually base these decisions on when Easter falls, because it seems like more people have off and travel around Easter. Easter in 2022 is 4/17, which also means Mardi Gras is 3/1. We have seen upticks in crowds Mardi Gras week - not sure how big of an uptick. I expect the later you wait in March, the busier it is likely to get. If I were choosing based on your criteria, we'd probably focus in on that week beginning March 6. Good luck!

The first week of March will be the least crowded week in March. The rest of the month, Spring Break will be in full swing.

This year Mardi Gras is on March 1, so that pattern of it being the least crowded week could definitely be broken. I think the second week would be better.

We’re going the last week, which I’m crossing my fingers for as it’s a week after the local public schools break ends, and two weeks before Easter. But I’d go the second week if I could.
