Which week is best in October

I am starting to plan my October of 2019 vacation and I am trying to decide which week.

We can do Saturday, September 28th until Sunday, October 6th (we would leave Sunday AM)

Or Saturday, October 5th until Monday October 14th (Columbus Day), (leaving Monday AM)

I am concerned about the crowds Columbus Day weekend, so I am wondering which is best- a day shorter with less crowds or dealing with crowds to have an extra day.

We try to avoid Columbus Day, the weekend prior and the day after. The crowds are larger than just before and just after but they're not killer. If it gives us one more day in WDW I'd live with the crowds, having done this I know whereof I speak.

We have been there the week of Columbus Day. While it is busier, its not terrible. The weekend is busier as well, but manageable. With Food and Wine going on, its already busy, so we didn't notice a big increase. We are however avoiding that weekend this year
