Okay, my fiancé has just decided that he wants to move the dates of our honeymoon, and since he has a valid reason before I shut the idea down, I'd like to see the pros and cons of each situation.
Our wedding is June 5th and currently our honeymoon plans are as follows:
June 6-13 GF Honeymoon Concierge
June 13-17 Disney Wonder Cruise
June 17-20 AKL Concierge
The proposed change would be:
June 12 Pop Century or hotel near cruise port
June 13-17 Disney Wonder Cruise
June 17-20 AKL Concierge
June 20-27 GF Honeymoon Concierge (if it's still available)
We booked all of this last March but tonight my fiancé stated he wants to take his medical board exam on June 11 (previously he planned to take it June 3) so that he has more time to study. I suggested he take if after we get back if he doesn't want to take it June 3rd, but he thinks the 2 week break would be too long. He basically has until July 6th, so my suggestion is to study from June 20-June 30th and take it on July 1st or 2nd. Also, I wouldn't mind him studying while we're away at all, since we'll have our 3 month old daughter with us so the romance aspect will be negligible with an infant.
So my main concerns are heat and crowd differences we'll see between June 6-12 and June 20-27. If we didn't have a 3 month old, I wouldn't care as much, but it'll be enough to travel with her in early June when less schools are out than in the crowds I imagine will develop in late June. My mom will be staying somewhere on property while we're there so that we have a babysitter, but since we'll have the baby the majority of the time, she's a major factor in the decision. I read somewhere that the crowds get noticably larger each day, which really makes me want to stick to the original plan, especially with my fiancé who absolutely hates to wait in lines. If he were a poor student, I would change our plans, but he does very well and is in the top 10% of his medical school class, so I know he'll do fine taking the exam either in early June or early July and that the whole trip would go best by sticking to our current plan. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
