We are new vgc owners and are DLR people. We would love to plan a WDW trip in the next few years, tho. I'd love input as to what resorts to consider. We have 2 grown sons who may or may not join us, and 2 young teen daughters. The last couple of years I have had to use an ecv at DLR due to a knee injury. I am very active on a daily basis, but the knee doesn't seem to tolerate the amount and type of walking the parks require without making me miserable. At DLR, we have been the all day type the past few years with older kids, but of course it is so nice to have the GCH right there. So given that input, what would you WDW vets recommend we consider? Thanks in advance!

Bay Lake Tower, The Grand or if you can swing it The Bungalows at the Poly! Also, Old Key West has amazingly large rooms.

If you are using an ECV, then long hallways and such aren't much of an issue. I'd look at the convenience of going to parks without using buses. At BWV and BCV you can walk/ECV to Epcot & DHS. At BLT, GFV and Poly Villas you can monorail to MK & Epcot. So I'd focus on those five resorts.

Thank you for the suggestions! Of course, walking long corridors will be an factor for the rest of my family, but for me it is a breeze with the ECV. I keep hoping on day all my PT exercises will pay off, but I tried it on our last DLR trip and was in agony after a few hours. Plus, I am the designated FP runner at DLR, so I put on a lot of miles. ;-)
