Which waterpark?

DH and I are planning to going to one of the water parks this year. We have never been to either. I was curious which one we may be better. I'm not a great swimmer nor a friend of heights. I love lazy rivers and relaxing/boring rides like that. I appreciate any feedback on which one we should try and why. TIA.

Blizzard has the snow/ice melted into waterpark theme. It's really unique in that respect. It has "summit plummit" which is a really tall slide that you ride without an inner tube. Blizzards lazy river is themed with snow banks etc.. also a zero entry pool area and a nice long raft ride.

Typhoon has a tropical theme. It has a number of moderate slides you ride without a tube. It has the "Crushin Gusher" that your ride in a tube and water jets actually propel you over dips and hills. Typhoon has a zero entry wave pool and an interesting (although short) snorkel experience. Typhoons lazy river is lined with lush flowers and foliage with some mist and drips along the way.

if anything sticks out about either of these, then choose that park. Both of them are really nice.

I would suggest Blizzard Beach, even though Typhoon Lagoon is my favourite. Both have lazy rivers but the difference in the wave pools is immense. At Typhoon Lagoon, the waves are so strong they send you flying at least 10 feet through the water. They do have gentle waves for half hour intervals several times per day, but it's mostly surfing type waves that you can't stand up in, let alone swim in.

At Blizzard Beach, the waves are gentle all the time and they have tubes that can be used in the wave pool. Although you get to the top of Blizzard Beach by a ski lift, it isn't that bad. There are some more gentle tube rides but the big plus is they bring the tubes up for you -- you don't have to carry them.

We prefer Typhoon Lagoon more for the relaxing aspect. I like the lazy river more and the areas for chairs. Crushin gusher is a lot of fun without being too crazy.

I love both but Typhoon Lagoon is the most beautifully themed and appointed water park on the planet.

Typhoon Lagoon!

It's not to be missed.

Truthfully with all the snow we've been having (and continue to have), the theme of Blizzard Beach isn't appealing to much to me at the moment. :lmao: Well it seems like most of you are saying Typhoon Lagoon is your favorite. Is it because of the theme or the rides?

Well...the slides are fairly similar but Blizzard Beaches are slightly better and more thrilling...but not by *much".

Typhoon Lagoon really feels like an isolated Tropical Island. Overall, it's the water park to go to if you *have* to choose.

The ambience is incredible.

I love the theming of Typhoon Lagoon better but I also liked the rides better too at Typhoon Lagoon.
