Which Water Park?

First time going to a water park with a 9 year, going first week of August.

Which of the two water park would you go to?

Typhoon Lagoon has the hardcore wave pool, the shark reef, and the Crush 'n' Gusher water coaster.

Blizzard Beach has Summit Plummet, a better family raft ride, and IMO better kids' areas - they've got a little kid area and also a medium-to-big kid area.

With a kid, I'd go to BB, even though I personally prefer TL.

My 9 year old prefers BB over Typhoon Lagoon, even though he likes the wave pool. I think he likes the group of slides that he can ride by himself (with me following behind him, of course), over and over, with relative ease.

I went to BB this past summer with my two DDs, 8 and 5 and they had a blast! They loved the big kid area and the family raft ride the most! I've never been to TL but plan to return to BB again this summer.

Are the Magic Bands waterproof? Do most people wear them in the water or take them off?

Cost of the lockers?

I have read that we can rent towels. Where do you rent them? Cost? Are the towels the size of a beach towel or bath towel?

My kids 11 and 7 much prefered BB over TL. The kids area at BB was really fun.
