Although I have been to Disney many times in the past ... this trip coming up will be my first with a toddler. I was wondering for those of you who have experience in this department which water park do you think is better for a 2 year old TL or BB?

I would greatly appreciate any input!

Thanks in Advance,

We like TL's kiddie area much much better than BB. More shade, more fun, tighter space.

I have been to both with young children, and BB is better. (but both are good.) TL is better for older childeren (5 and up). Our DD loved BB when she was 2, there are many slides that the kids can go down themselves and one that you can do with them. There is sand play area and some great splahy places (that doesn't get the water in the kids faces.) TL is more water in the face play area. the wave pool at BB is better for young kids, and you can take them on the lazy river in both parks.

I know I have answered this question a few times here so I did a search, here is a few threads you might find helpful.

If you do a search yourself you will find 3 pages of threads on it.

Although TL kiddie area is smaller and easier to watch little ones, the actual "attractions" at BB are better. More room to splash, more mini slides and less water-in-your-face squirters like at TL.
Either park has an area for 2 year olds but if I had a little one, I would go to BB.

We've been to both with a 2 year old and liked both, but I'd have to give the nod to BB. At TL there was too much water spraying right in DD's face at the kiddie area which she did not like. She did like both, but BB was clearly her favorite.

I guess my kid isn't the only one that doesn't like water in the face! That really did hamper her enjoyment at TL, but she did have a good time. She had a better one at BB.

There is this little "ski hut" at the top of the water play area. There are 4 different mini slides coming off it. DD loved this and I must of went down it 50 times with her and she went another 50 alone. Her favorite line (at under 2 years old) was "I'll meet you there mom!" It was really cute. There is also some racer water sides you can do with the child on your lap. There are not any slides at TL that a parent can hold the child on their lap. Also there was less walking at BB.

I have a question, can you go to TL for the 1st part of the day and then to BB for the rest of the day on a one day use of your hopper plus pass? or would that be using 2 plus days?

Better planned, designed and spacious! Part of the original BB plan so only two ways in and out and off the main track. It was the second park built, and think some things just get better. Also the cartoon theme of the park is fun for the kids.

TL was very very small on a main path, and then was enlarged later, although still not big. And even though it may be smaller, found it to be chaotic and difficult to watch the kids well, without staying with them every moment.

Thanks everyone. We will for sure hit a waterpark and since my daughter does not like water splashed in her face it will be BB.

Now just one more question... do you take a stroller into the waterparks or leave it behind? I would never think of not having one for MK , Epcot MGM or AK.... but am not sure about the water parks.

Please let me know!

thanks again,

we take ours--it's a great place to keep stuff of the ground so things stay dry. Last time we went, our youngest took a nap, too :)

Bring the stroller with you, also they alow coolers in the water parks, so be sure to bring one if you have it. We have a small soft cooler we hand of the back of our stroller and it is great. Put frozen juice boxes and water in them and they last all day. Don't forget sand and water toys if you have them. They sell some at the parks too.
