Hi! I'm new to these boards but have become very addicted to reading them daily!! I'm planning a trip in June with my sister, 8 year old nephew and 10 year old neice. We really want to do a water park, but even after reading up on the subject, can't seem to decide which would have the most for kids their age. So I thought, forget the books............ask the Experts!!! Nephew is a bit more adventurous than his sister but neither are extemely strong swimmers. Thanks in advance for all of your help!! :)

My girls are 8 and 10 and we did blizzard beach and had a blast. They are fairly good but not great swimmers. They did all the slides they were tall enough gor except maybe one. They loved the area for 8-12 yo's I think it was the beach patrol or something, sorry I can't remember the name but it had the ice bricks to walk across and slides they could do alone.

We did all the family rides and lots of side by side slides and we all had an awesome day. We did TL when they were smaller and that was fun as well, a bit more relaxed but still fun. They loved the lazy river and since we packed light and brought water shoes the river was a great, fun, cool way to get from place to place.

I know if given the choice my girls would choose BB over TL. But have fun and don't worry you won't go wrong as they are both great waterparks.

I was wondering this same thing... probably mom and dad would like TL more though  (for us at least!)

Blizzard Beach - the kids area for them is called Ski Patrol Training area. They will love it. Family raft ride is awesome, ski lift to the top, lots of slides they will love, lazy river like TL, and a much gentler wave pool than TL. They will also love the cartoon theme of it. Our kids love it there and we enjoy it too - very Disney-ish.

We also enjoy TL for the more relaxed tropical landscape, shark reef, wave pool but think BB is great for the kids ! PS We also do the water parks with relatives that are mostly 40-60 yrs old and they all like BB better :goodvibes so ya never know !
