Which Villa do you recommend

I would do a BLT 1 bedroom. That will give you a sleeper chair in the living room, which BWV, VWL and BCV do not have.

I am sooo glad you replied...your trip is exactly what I would love to do! My youngest loves animals and every time we look at anything disney she wants to stay at AK and my dream place is BLT.

Can I ask who you booked with?? I am looking into renting points or perhaps convincing my inlaws to let us use their intrawest membership to book the units!!

After reading these boards I was convinced to stay at Kidani because of the better kids pool, playground etc. What make you like Jambo better??

thanks so much!!
Do you mind me asking what the 8 days cost you? I am stunned DH agreed to stay onsite as we usually stay at Bonnet Creek...think I am going to need to do some more convincing when he sees the price!

No problem! Rented thru Davids Vacation Rental. Absolutely flawless from beginning to end. Cant recommend him enough. He has a nice price calculator on his site that will tell you exactly what you will pay. I'm going to get flamed quite a bit for this, but Kidani just seems like it's not a part of AK. For some that is the reason they like it there. I looked at both pools and just liked the feel of Jambo's better. The ease of having everything you need right there, we ate at Boma 2x, the food court 3x. I think if you do pick Kidani you cant go wrong, it's beautiful, it's just that Jambo just feels like the "real deal" to me.

As far as BLT, I'm so glad we booked a standard view. So much cheaper and found that we were never really in the room during fireworks time anyway. The rooms are really beautiful! Wouldnt hesitate to stay there again and would probably split stay and do half at BLT and half at Jambo again.

hope this helps, feel free to PM me if you have any other questions.

We loved the view. Also, the one bedroom at Kidani has two full bathrooms, just like the one bedroom at BLT. That is an awesome thing. And the bathrooms are HUGE!

With the age of your children I also would choose BLT. It was my DGrD(8) s favorite when she was 6 and she has been begging to go back again since then - we are returning in Nov. to our first MK view- something I've been wanting to do since they first built the CR! You cannot beat the transportation options at BLT - especially with 3 little ones. It is an easy walk to MK - and with the new Fantasyland opening in 2013, I imagine you will be spending a lot of time there. Getting to and from the monorail for Epcot or the buses for AK/HS are all through the CR and under cover at all times. The pool is smaller and that makes it easier for me to keep track of the little ones and relax myself a little. The slide is awesome, but easy for the 4 & 6 year olds to manage - and you can see them from entrance to exit the whole time. There is a Kids Club with lots to do for the kids and the CMs from the Club offer lots of fun games and dancing at the pool every afternoon. There are lots of easy dining choices at CR - Chef Mickeys if you haven't done that yet.

I also love AKV and in May we are doing a split stay between BWV (our DVC home resort) and AKV for newest DGrDs first birthday. But - we will be 6 adults and one little one - lol - I would not do a split stay if the kids outnumbered the adults! You are basically totally without a room for possibly the entire day - DVC does not guarantee check in until 4 PM and it's not unheard of to wait for your room till 5 or so. Also, the Kidani pool and water play area are wonderful, but much more spread out - you and DH will have to be on your feet following the kids around while there. There is not a seating area where you can see both sections of the pool area. And you will have to take buses every day - getting on and off with the strollers, etc. gets old.

You cannot go wrong - a one bedroom villa will give you lots of room, a washer/dryer so you can pack less - a full kitchen - we use a grocery delivery for snacks and easy meals - we almost always eat breakfast in before heading out. Have fun deciding and Enjoy!!

While I love AKV Jambo, I would recommend either BWV or BC. They're both located close to Epcot and DHS plus there's free live entertainment on the Boardwalk-jugglers, magicians, etc.
BLT and Contemporary are nice and close to the Magic Kingdom but I think kids would like the Boardwalk or Beach Club better. My daughter loves these as do my nieces and nephews.

We are a DVC family and what we love about Disney is that each resort has something different to offer.

The secret to a wonderful WDW vacation is to match your wants and needs to your vacation plans for that trip. This time you may want to spend most of your time at the MK, next time, Epcot, that would change my recommendation on which DVC resort to consider.

There are so many variables, wants and dislikes that selecting the perfect resort can be a challenge. What ever you decide, I am sure that you will have a great vacation.

Feel free to contact me if I can help you with your DVC questions.
