Which view at the Wilderness Lodge?

I am interested in staying in a deluxe room at the Wilderness Lodge with my DH and 3 sons, ages 11, 8, and 3. When I inquired about them with Disney reservations, they asked me what view I wanted, woods, water, and there was one more...standard maybe? What is the preferred view at WL? I'm always ready to ask for water view, but is woods view preferred at this resort? Thanks!

Go to this link and read my WL PT. 1,2,3,4 It will help you understand WL and the room layouts. You will be very happy here no matter what view you choose. I suggest you pick a room in the norht wing as it mre convienent. Hope this helps you.

For the most part the views are exactly how they sound. The standard views overlook the loading docks or the bus stop depending on which side of the resort you are on. The rooms over the loading docks may have a view of MK if you are high enough.

The woods views are just what they sound like: views of the treed areas that surround the lodge. The woodsview rooms over the otter pond are the most preferred as they give you a little something other than trees to look at and depending on the room you might be able to see MK.

The courtyard (water) rooms are the most expensive and have views of the stream, waterfall, geyser, Electric water parade, pool and lake or at least some of them. The exception to this is I have heard that some of the rooms that look toward the WLV are considered to be courtyard rooms but I would be severely upset if they tried to give me one of those as a courtyard room.

My recommendation is get a courtyard room and you won't be sorry.

We stayed at the North End of the V towards the boat launch - easy access to pool, down the stairs out the dooe to the boat launch was great - it was a woods view room - very nice and peaceful view from the room

Ask for the Woods View on the fifth floor Room # 5032 . Not anly can you see the magic kingdom castle off in the distant change beautiful colors at night, you can sit out on your balcony and watch the otters play in the little pond just below your room. They are most active in the early morning and late evening.
You cam also see the monorail go by in the distance.
